You saved me from a huge mess. I was going to take my H2 to a shop and found your video. Thank you so much 🙏🏽

I did a completely custom job with this. I went to lowes hardware and bought a small metal c-clamp with 2 holes. Then I looped it completely around the transmission arm and ran a small bolt through it and reattached the linkage cable to it that way. It's not perfect but it works and you won't have to ever worry about it coming apart again at least from what I've seen. It's way better than the original setup and gives you a lot more peace of mind while driving down the highway I promise you that.👍😎👌

Yeah, there's definitely ways to custom this job, if necessary. I would have done the same, but now you know that if it ever comes loose, you can use the linkage available for it.

@@julzzcan9490 Absolutely right. What I really wanted to do was just replace the entire shifter arm with a new one that had a hole drilled into it already. The problem I saw was getting access to it without having to drop the entire transmission. I'm sure it's probably ways around this but I've yet to come across any of them.

@@J.Crooner I've heard that the dealership replaces the entire arm in these cases, but I don't know what that requires, dropping the tranny is beyond my skills. Stay in touch and thanks for chatting!

You didn't do that badly with the video. if I can give a little advice for your future videos that might help you with this. When installing anything on a vehicle, you should keep in mind that there are people who have not been under nor have seen the bottom of a truck/car before. This is why it's important to show the area you're working on as well as what it looks like at a distance. If it's next to the oil pan or the muffler, then that should be mentioned. Also, when talking about the job, just stick to the job related topics, and any side notes should not take long to mention. This is not to criticize you but rather to hopefully help you get a larger following. I am telling you this from experience. Be safe and good luck.

I agree. No idea where he was in the vehicle. Was this from the interior or under the vehicle, no idea where he was.
