This is another video that shows one way to wrap a 'shift knob' in leather.
It is also a related video to steering-wheels, thus, if interested in learning how to cover the wheels, you should start practicing these procedures to become familiar with the hand sewings.
Keep an eye out on our channel! ...it seems that pretty soon, we will have available the promised courses about 'steering-wheels' and others. As a matter of fact, it has not been an easy task to find pedagogical procedures to make our students learn easily...it has taken some time to develop the methods.
I hope you find this video useful!

Perfect work, wonderful. Congratulations !
Nice, very straight forward. Now let me just get 50 years of master leather working under my belt and I'll do this real quick brb
that blew my mind..the last stitching..i thought he was done. it makes sense to tie both pieces together. what a master craftsman.
Impressive... Watched and re-watched every stitch... Have never seen this done before. Got to try it now. I saw how meticulously you placed every mark, every stitch, and why. Thanks for your knowledge😊
An absolute pleasure to watch a craftsman working. This is the second of your videos I have watched (the first was covering the dashboard part) and I have been amazed at your skills, patience and the end result. Thankyou!

You should make a video of how to do leather seats in a car. They look really difficult.
This made me realise I can do this with some practice and a lot of patience! Thanks for the instructional video, great result and now I will try!
Es una gozada ver un vídeo de este gran artesano, para quitarse el sombrero. Enhorabuena maestro.

This is amazing. I am a beginner learning auto upholstery and this has helped a lot. Never realized how much work goes into the shift knob. Beautiful combination. I was confused at first but the artist came out in the end. Talented!
It is a true joy to watch a craftsman at work. Many thanks for keeping this art alive by sharing your vast knowledge.

That turned out well. Ive done who knows how many shift knobs and its interesting to watch someone else do one and do it well. I always skive the leather at the bottom so there is no fight getting it all to turn the corner, lay down and stay there while retaining the space for the shift lever. And as you stated in the description, knobs just go along with wheels. Ive only done steering wheels for 6 years and learned some of the methods from watching your work. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool video, I am going to try this on mine. I bought a red leather MOMO steering wheel, and a red leather shifter boot, and a red leather e-brake handle cover. But I can't find a red leather manual shifter knob for my Volkswagen MKIII Cabriolet. So this is great for me, and I'm going to try to find some red leather today. Thanks very much for posting this, excellent work.
