The only way to possibly know that this place exists is if someone local shows you 'the way of the local drink'. Or if you just so happen to get stopped by the people downstairs with the map flyers telling you that you should go up to the second floor to drink while getting bombarded with all the lights and sounds of Shibuya! By that point, you would just be super lucky to discover this place.
A 'Yokocho' is typically many izakayas in a cramped alleyway typically in an outside setting. In this episode of Drunk Tours, Shibuya Niku Yokocho is what you're witnessing. The same cramped setting but indoors on the second floor. It's an interesting cocktail of people that create an atmosphere that is simply unmissable.
