One of the most well-behaved Shiba Inus I've ever seen. You did a good job raising him. He's lucky and grateful to have someone as loving as you taking care of him. ❤️

yeah it's annoying how many people don't train their dogs. they seem to have a confused attitude that being nice to their dogs means not training them. they don't understand that dogs are generally happy to do whatever makes their humans happy, if only the humans communicate effectively (which is so much easier than most dog owners make it look). teaching a dog to behave well to get along with humans is good for everybody including the dog, because then all the humans are going to love the dog and be in better moods around the dog. when a dog annoys humans all the time, that's bad for the dog. the same goes for socialising dogs with other dogs, they need to learn how to behave and control their feelings in order to get along and be happy. humans are supposed to be the smarter ones showing dogs how to live in their environments, and figuring out how to communicate with dogs both ways. dogs are the result of 30-40.000 years of breeding to follow human direction (no other animal has been domesticated for anywhere near that long). they are generally very good at it and happy to do it.

However there is a German Shephard near my house who has been trained for 1 year. But he starts barking from inside his house whenever anyone even crosses their house. I guess every dog is different

My cat has chilling places too, but that also includes my lap. But he also rolls his head and neck over on my left hand while gaming. XD Also I'll ask him things like "cereal?" for kibble and "thirmsty?" for water and if his tail lashes faster, it means he wants more.
