Thankfully most of humans believe in God, most humans historically also believed in God. I'm here to help you so here are some points for you to remember about what Islam actually is.. Islam began with Adam and was completed with Muhammed. There was no name for God's religion before Muhammed. Judaism is named after Judea, Buddhism is named after Buddha, Christianity named after Christ etc. Many ambassadors were sent by God. It's believed by some that every tribe and every land received an ambassador. Some tribes built monuments after such ambassadors, these monuments became idols. Some tribes strayed from the ambassadors original message to worship forces of nature, the sun, the moon, things like animals etc. God's religion was finally confirmed and named as 'Peaceful Submission To God', or in Arabic, Islam. Muhammed is the last Prophet. Quran is the last testament. God's religion which began with Adam was completed with Muhammed and finally named 'Islam'.

This is why the Qur’an is so against sectarianism. It warned us, but we did not listen.

There is more to learn, study, and apply from a single verse in the entire glorious Qur’an (which is free & innocent of such sectarianism) than a past historical incident of a single woman who lived and died 1,400 years ago. The Qur’an says: “That was a community of people who had their time, and they have now passed away. They have their deeds, and you have your deeds. And you shall not be asked about what they used to do!” - Qur’an Sūrah 2 (Al-Baqarah) So let us worry about ourselves. These figures are no more than human beings after all, and mere creations of God Almighty at the end of the day. And we will ALL be raised back to life on Judgment Day and made to answer for our words & deeds. That is why my mind is occupied on God & the afterlife. Not Fatima or anyone else. People were originally "Muslims" Only. Until Shias appeared with different practices and beliefs, but at the same time called themselves Muslims. So we had to differentiate between Muslims and Shias, so the term Sunni was Born (A Muslim who follows the sunnah if the prophet)

You’re correct there were no sectors. However he صلي الله عليه و سلم did warn us that Islam would divide into (I believe if I’m not wrong) 70+ sectors and that only one of them would be correct and they will be classes as ahlus sunnah wal jama’ah. This group is believed to be the Sunnis (hanafi, shafi’i, maliki, and hambali). Why this group? Because they follow the deen of Allah correctly, their beliefs are correct. Shias, I pray Allah guides them, swear at certain sahabs, and these are great great sahabas, the best of the best (like Abu Bakr, and Umar) how can you swear at people whom Allah has said about in the Quran رضي الله عنهم - Allah is happy/pleased with them. And whom Muhammad صلي الله عليه و سلم has said are like stars for the ummah to follow, and whichever one you follow will lead you to jannah. Not only that they have also added many innovations (bidat) into the deen and things that resemble shirk and may even be classed as shirk such as praying to Hussain رضي الله عنه. Ofcourse we love Hussain, but how can you pray to him as though he is god. استغفر الله!!

@@syedabbas5822 where in the Quran is there anything written about hazrat Ali ?? You should know that the only sahaba mentioned by name in the Quran is hazrat Zaid. When prophet Muhammad was on his death bed, who did he ask to lead prayers? Abu Bakr RA. Not just he was one of the 10 promised paradise by the prophet, but 6 from that list had converted due to his one on one dawah with them. In Quran it indirectly references him when talking about time he and prophet were hiding out in the cave. I can go on and on, but Allah only guides whom he wills.

@@syedabbas5822 Allah said the Sahaba are there to anger enrage the Kuffar in the last ayah of Surah Fath. So these Shia who’s blood boils with anger and may Allah boil their blood in Dunya and Akhira are nothing but Kuffar. As Allah says through the Sahaba he makes the Kuffar enraged! So they are falling into Kufr while they know not with cursing and anger against the Sahaba. Evidence in the Quran that Sahaba most be respected.

@@syedabbas5822 where in Quran its written to love hazrat ali as more than prophet. Or where’s the source for matam or azadari? Making azakhana? Or prostrating on turbah? Dont get me wrong i grew up in a shia family attending all majalis and have had many shia friends (even nuserhi shia). The idea of disrespecting prophet’s wife or closest friends just doesn’t feel right and alot of practices/statements feel like straight up shirk. I dont think what most shias are doing would even be encouraged by bibi fatima as or hazrat ali as.

Thing is, shias are the ones that have divided into a sect. Before shiaism, the true Islam was the sunni Islam but it was just called Islam as there was simply no sect, but due to shiaism and then many other sects being formed, it is now called sunnism and it is definitely the truest and purest form of Islam, all we believe in is the Quran, ahadith and the sahaba, all these other groups with sunni Islam are wrong and are the corrupt versions of Islam, your comment is correct but still

By context, Ali to the Prophet is like Aaron to Moses peace be upon them all. So, everyone else are excluded. Ali, Fatima, Hassan, and Hussein peace be upon them are appointed by the Prophet peace be upon him as the twin of the holy Quran. The examples that Mohammed mentioned mean different things by context.

You can tell the hadith is false because everyone knows there is no prophet after prophet Muhammad pbuh. And let's take this example as true, in that case Abu Bakr disobeyed prophet Muhammad pbuh. And we can also blame Umar for not reminding Abu Bakr. So no matter how you look at it, either the hadith is false or the first 2 Chalipahs disobeyed the prophet Muhammad. The Quran days to not blindly follow the religion of your parents.

@@AlwaysFindTheTruth the hadith i mentioned is from the same book saheeh al tirmidhi that the person above me mentioned, now considering the compilation either you accept both as sahih with the author of sahih al tirmidhi did or you reject them both. We know there is no prophet after the prophet Muhammad that is why the hadith goes : " If ", this means that in the case the line of prophethood continued after our beloved prophet, which it didn't , the next prophet would have been umer. This just shows that umer was in fact the best of characters amongst the companions of the prophet, and in fact if you are trying to degrade the line of succession of the holy prophet to just his blood line you are ignoring the teachings of Islam, Iam not saying that the bloodline of prophet is not superior in any way, i believe the counter to be true , but i also know it has abu bakar the first man to accept islam , it was umer the only person ever that the prophet prayed accept islam the rest chose islam and islam chose umer, or uthman the person to two of holy prophet daughters so i wont stand for you saying that they sinned.

Im an agnostic, but I love these Muslim debate videos. I have lots of respect for those who actually know whats in their holy book.

I'm a muslim, and I'm always fascinated by how much I can learn from these short clips, even though i'm fairly knowledgeable Both in Quran and Sunna. Not to mention the philosophic and logic aspects of his rethorics. I've come across a couple of videos where he commentates on some of Ricky Gervais' ideas, you might like them.

Let me quote the sahih hadith from sahih muslim I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of Allah in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it. He exhorted (us) (to hold fast) to the Book of Allah and then said: The second are the members of my household I remind you (of your duties) to the members of my family. He (Husain) said to Zaid: Who are the members of his household? Aren't his wives the members of his family? Thereupon he said: His wives are the members of his family (but here) the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. And he said: Who are they? Thereupon he said: 'Ali and the offspring of 'Ali, 'Aqil and the offspring of 'Aqil and the offspring of Ja'far and the offspring of 'Abbas. Husain said: These are those for whom the acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. Zaid said: Yes. I was a Muslim by name or if to say egoist because of the rough life have been through, Alhamdullilah I started practicing 10yrs ago but through the hanifa teachings but because I had little knowledge about Islam and different sections,I was so extreme in my early days has a practicing Muslim that I started falling short cause worshipping became a burden to me. I have struggled back and forth to be a stable Muslim, the moment I started just following just the Quran and Sunnah only Alhamdullilah my Islamic life is improving so positively. this differences or dividing ourselves in sections just brings confusion and the prophet Muhammad (Saw) warned us about. Am a Muslim belonging to non section.

Quran mentioned *Pledges of Ridwan* which was taken to avenge rumored assassination of Uthman R.A, and a *revelation related to Cave of Thawr* in which Abu Bakr R.A accompanied Prophet S.A.W during Hijrat to Madinah, nowhere is Ghadir incident found. He who hurts Fatima R.A hurts Prophet Muhammad S.A.W This was said to Ali R.A by the way. I am not saying anything bad Naozobillah, we all are humans and we make mistakes. However you shouldn't consider Ali R.A superior than others. And tell me the Sanad of this *Hadith* and the, book, chapter, section and Hadith number. And Allah and Prophet Muhammad S.A.W told us not to create differences or sects amongst Muslim community WHICH YOU ARE DOING. Abu Bakr R.A accompanied Prophet S.A.W during migration and gave all of his wealth and possessions for expedition of Tabuk, and believing in The Night Journey and Ascension (Al-Isra wa Al-Meraj) without any question or doubt. Umar R.A conquered many areas whilst administrating Islamic state, defeating Persians and Byzantines and CONQUERING Jerusalem, and also contributed half of his wealth to Tabuk Expedition, participating in all major battles like Badr, Uhud, Hunain, Khyber etc. Usman R.A was the reason why Prophet Muhammad S.A.W and his companions made an oath under the tree to take his revenge before Treaty of Hudaibiyah, two of Prophet's daughters were married to him, and in his last days he used to read Quran frequently, he was lenient as a Caliph too and made copies of Quran and spread it theoughout Islamic areas. Does that mean their services were not enough? No. They were. Then stop creating sects. Of course I won't exclude Ali R.A, he was the only one who stood up in Prophet's invitation to Islam, and whilst he was not well he went to Khyber expedition and broke its gates, and he LIKE OTHER CALIPHS got tidings of Paradise, and he also won in the duel of Battle of Badr and participated in major Islamic battles, and was father of Prophet's beloved grandsons. HOWEVER, if Prophet was to choose a Khalil ot would be Abu Bakr R.A but he is his brother and companion in Islam. If there was any Prophet to come after Prophet Muhammad S.A.W it would have been Umar R.A. If Prophet S.A.W had 100 daughters he would marry them all to Usman R.A. But also if Prophet is The City of Knowledge then Ali R.A is its gate. So all companions were equal, Khalas ya habibi. No more differences. What matters is Allah, Prophet Muhammad S.A.W and Islam. Stop creating this Sunnni-Shia sect differences. We are Muslims, not Sunnis or Shias.

While what happened at Ghadeer cannot be disputed, what is also undisputed and cannot be questioned are the selected few companions, whose disputes are to be settled among themself and is beyond our reproach or question for they are guaranteed Jannah.. With that being said, everyone knows who Ali r.a was in relation to the Prophet s.a.w and also to the other companions. The curious part is, out of all the 1000 (estimated) companions who bear witness to this happening in ghadeer including Anas r.a.. why did The Prophet s.a.w chose to lift Ali r.a hands and proclaim Ali r.a to be his mawla and for the others to accept Ali r.a to be their mawla too.. was Ali r.a a secret friend of some sort no one knew about..? Were there some people among the witnesses who did not know who Ali r.a was..? It would be nice if anyone can explain this logically or theoratically for those with weaker knowledge in Islamic history like myself so we can understand better.. not to take sides in this matter.

Like the prophet, Ali make it abundantly clear that Allah is the only one to receive any form of worship. Ali was one of the closest companions to the prophet, one of his first followers, etc. He is an especially prominent figure in early Islam. The only difference between a Shia and Sunni is the conception of the companions. It's essentially a political difference

​@msaadah1223 indeed Ali r.a Was one of the most pious, knowledgab and closed companion to prophet Muhammad pbuh. That is a known fact to every Muslim even if sunni or any other sect. But problem comes when we disregard other prominent companies who had their own characteristics and they have also contributed tremendously to reach out to world and spread the message of prophet further to us. God has taken responsibility for the Quran to preserve it and mentioned in Quran itself but the after history of islam is not 100 percent authentic that's why we have more versions of it. I think we should only focus on the true message of God which have provided to us through Quran and then Sunnah of prophet. And if we have likings or disliking about companion's of prophet which have come to us through different historians... we should keep it personal and don't try to impose on others.

To be fair, that's not quite what the Ayah says.. here's a literal translation: Surah Al-Furqan 74: And those who say, "Our lord grant to us from our spouses and our offspring comfort to our eyes and make us for the righteous a leader" In this context the people are ASKING Allah, mighty is He, to make them for the righteous leaders. In other-words this is a request, and not something that automatically happens because you say "I am an imam" doesn't make you an "imam"

There are narrations about Abu Bakr(ra) ,uthman (ra) , Umar(ra) . But even if it was only for Ali (ra) ,still that didn't justify all the innovations that shias have innovated . Ali (ra) followed Quran and sunnah of prophet (pbuh) .

The part "you're my successor.." etc is not authentic in sunni sources. Also read the whole context and you'll understand what is meant by position of Aaron

The first verse المؤمنين و المؤمنات بعضهم أولياء بعض is command from Allah not Mohammed saw appoiting khalifah. The second one is Du'a not appointing for khalifah. Neither one was from Mohammed saw.

Such a disappointment this video. With all his acquired knowledge, yet he still can’t see that there’s no such thing called Shia or Sunni. There’s still anger and darknes in your heart brother. The question is where or when did nabi saww used any of the words khalifa mola or ameeral momineen for anyone other than mola Ali as but reply is about the word wali which is very much different
