I met Sheynnis in march 2018 and she still the same beautiful, wonder and humble woman that she is. I have watched Miss Universe competition since 2007 and living this moment that Sheynnis gave us the first Miss Universe crown its just UNREAL until this day I still can't believe it. thank you for being an inspiration queen. 🩵

Don’t know why, but I just knew. I believe she’s one of the best Miss Universe; maybe because very few can be so natural and spontaneous and at the same time be so elegant and classy.

We all nicaraguans hope so, too. But this horrible government will not budge an inch for Sheynnis because, for them, anyone who can gather and attract more people than them is a threat (which is stupid), especially considering Sheynnis participated 5 yrs ago in some protests against the government. We really hope this authoritarian anti-democratic government leaves soon. 90% of us nicaraguans don't support them but we can't say or do anything. Otherwise, they incarcerate you or, even worse, they banish you from Nicaragua. It's a horrible situation.
