And the exquisitely talented Shetlanders who produced these beautiful pieces, are the upper class and royalty in their own right, and well deserved.

Thank you to everyone who contributes to Wool Week! I live in Canada, and have not had the pleasure of visiting Shetland yet in person, but these broadcasts have been the next best thing. I have sat down with tea and knitting every day to enjoy the time with all of you - so much inspiration, fun, good will and enthusiasm! Thanks again. I will keep following your upcoming posts.

Such exquisitely fine, delicate knitting just fascinates me! Thank you for sharing this bit of Shetland history, and the beautiful work of Shetland knitters in the past. I'm also glad that there are some people who are keeping this artistry alive!

Greetings from Canada! This video filled a hole in my knowledge I hadn't noticed until recently - I was teaching knitting to my daughter's class at school, and at her request I brought in my ring shawl to show the class when I brought in some other examples of things that I had knit for inspiration. Some of the students had wanted to know how the lace would have been used traditionally, and the best I could give was that it was exported, it was knit for income. I really appreciate hearing about how the lace was used, because now I can answer that when it comes up next.

I love the knitwear worn by Claire this week. I look forward to finding out more about it. The sleeveless pullover on the last broadcast was particularly stunning.

Thank You so much for sharing this, I cannot wait to make it to Shetland one day. Listening to this while I spun mohair lace, fascinating that Shetland spinners used mohair! How cool!

Your daily broadcasts have been the highlight of my day here in Canada. I appreciate your excellent interviewing skills, but even more your warmth and natural presentation....not to mention your Shetland sweaters! Perhaps these Wool Week videos could become a regular series throughout the year? I would subscribe for sure. I only wish I was in Shetland this week! Thank you.

I've loved all these videos. Thank you for them. I'm really sad to hear that folks got COVID there, including Bunchy. It's why I'm not there this year. I was surprised to see no one wearing masks, even in close confined spaces. I really want to come back to SWW but won't until COVID becomes something that's dealt with properly with masking and air filtration.

Thank you so much for all these bits of Wool Week! Coming to Shetland is on my 'bucket list', but truth be told, it was Ann Cleeves Shetland series on telly, that first made me fall in love with your beautiful islands. Now, after all the SWW videos, I feel as if I already know so many knitters and I can't wait to come to Wool Week in person! .❤❤❤

I love Shetland lace. I have been knitting lace since teenager - but never attempted a big complicated piece. I’m ready to try. Are there any online resources you can recommend (teaching videos, yarns for sale, and so forth)?

I'm scared to knit lace. I've never knit with lace weight yarn but am so in love with the lace cardigan in this year's annual that I want to learn as well.

This was interesting but better lighting and some close up shots would have been appreciated so that I could actually see the lace properly.
