I can imagine Erik's face feeling nervous while hearing the part on bridge to chorus. He knew he'd better steal the audience's heart or the winner has been already declared. Kudos to Sheryn. I can only imagine her singing this song whenever I hear it. If I was one of the judges it will be a tough call for me. Sheryn did a perfect job but I'll have to give it to Erik because of something even I can't explain.

Alam mo yun, yung everyone knows it's been decided when Sheryn finished her song and everyone is expecting that she'll win it but by chance, in that particular time and day stars were aligned and fate was turned in favor of Eric. To overshadow such a great performance from Sheryn the only possible explaination I can come up with is I think God allowed him to win on that day. Up until now it's still a magical moment to me. Praise be to God.

People always arguing about Sheryn and Erik. But lets be fair even Sheryn has been consistent in her performance, Erik's performance is defferent on the Final Night and all previous performance was forgotten because of that Final Night where Erik show us the power and soul of his Voice. Sheryn becomes over confident as well, without realizing that there still the Final Showdown. Thats the power of Judge without the power of textvotes.

I was elementary during the grand finals and my vote was for Sheryn. Now I realized after rewatching it that Erik really deserve it. In my observation, Sheryn sang like its her own. She impressively hit the notes but you felt nothing after while Erik sang it through his heart. Like every words will give you a goosebumps and its like you already feel his victory or in short Erik engage his audience through his singing.

Eric and Sheryn's rivalry was out there that to prove that there's so much talent in them. Walang sapawan. Ung tunay na galing talaga nila nangibabaw. Wala pang fanbase dati. Organic talent.

Sheryn was already prepared to accept the grand prize. I couldn't forget the shock on her face when Erik was called. This is why the choice of song is very important. Even though she sang this big song perfectly, the end part was going down slow; and we know the belting at the end part concludes the winners. Meanwhile, Erik's song "This is the Moment" hypnotized everyone that it was indeed his moment to win.

I couldn't agree more. Sheryn introduced a "new song" to the mass. Though the delivery was perfect, but since most of the audience were not familiar of the song, the reception was different hence the conviction was highly affected. Now that she already introduced the song to the Filipinos, watching this again is now a different experience. Now it gets through the soul, and only now I realized that she really indeed interpreted it perfectly. But after all, she's the only 2nd placer whose song is definitely remembered. And that's remarkable!

When I watched this finals, she was my winner. But as I looked back to their performances, I now understand why Erik Santos won.

Now I know why Erik Santos won. He captured everyone with his performance, nakakatindig balahibo yung performance niya at bagay na bagay sa moment na yun yung song niya. Sheryn, no doubt that she's a very good singer. But watching this, walang effect sa ken, no goosebumps. Ito yung performance na puro birit lang and wala masyadong emotions. Yung performance ni Erik, yun yung isi-slay mo talaga yung replay button, sa kagustuhang paulit ulit na mapakinggan. Ito namang kay Sheryn, babalik ka lang ulit dun sa performance ni Erik after watching this.

The finals night was for Erik. Will give it to him. But please, I know I'm not the only one who thought of buying their batch's Star In A Million album because of this song. Her version was iconic! I remember how it ruled the domestic music charts back then. Kept on being played a lot of times on the radio too. She may never had been successful in getting that championship title but she captured the hearts of so many people, even those hardcore, in denial Regine fanatics who kept on inserting Regine Velasquez in every belting compilation video of Sheryn. The Crysal Voice of Asia si just THAT awesome! 🤗🤘💅

I couldnt agree more. Sheryn's beautiful and powerful voice was a big threat to Regine that is why her fans hated Sheryn so much. It was only her who got confidence to match Regine and others were afraid to get bashed. Time flies so fast and Sheryn is now a Music Legend.
