I have tried Oyster White in kitchen walls and flat wall sweeps. But from the general store, not a expensive designer. It makes the room cozy and fresh . Totally recommended.

I would love to see a video on neutral greens or gray/green & what it pairs well with (natural woods). Other than sea salt, it seems that’s the only one people are reviewing. You have been so informative, thank you so much.

Whenever you're comparing the colors you're pointing to both colors and it's unclear which is which. Would be helpful if you had graphics labeling the colors.

Hi Tina:) Nice to hear from you again:) Yes, paint names are so misleading.

When you compare colors, I have no idea which one is the one you’re reviewing. The camera shoots close up and you don’t point out which one is which. Is there a solution to that? Maybe have the color written on the sample? Too confusing! I’ve watched three comparisons and they’re all the same.

I’ve come to the conclusion that all of his comparison colors are on the left, and the reviewed colors are on the right... it’s definitely true for this video anyway! (Oyster White is on the right in both comparisons)

Planning to do oyster white on exterior. Was considering BM Ambler Slate for shutters but now considering Iron Ore or Cheating Heart. I don’t have much shade and want something with a little more depth than Ambler Slate but not black. Would Collanade gray that I had planned for trim around front windows and front door still work if I go with Iron Ore or Cheating Heart for shutter color? Roof is going to be Georgetown Grey and I have some red brick.

Hi Jacob! You are doing a great job with your explanations. Can you help with something for me? I am looking for a neutral color for my walls to do in a whole house interior paint color, or at least most of it. My furniture is whites, chippy whites (all shades of whites really), some muted light grays in soft furnishings, woods (medium and dark with no red) and medium brown leather couch. I also like a pop of green and soft black at times in decor. (A muted calm green). My taste is a bit farmhouse/shabby/cottage BUT...I live coastal in FL in a 3 story home and will be painting A LOT of home with varying light from the beach! Please help. I've spent SO much money on samples. :( ty!!

I’ve had oyster white in my West facing family room for 20 yrs. It looks like a warm beige when the sun hits. Very pleasing and comfy color. I don’t see grey at all.

Why do you recommend staying away from Oyster white with red or green in the room? Is it because of the low LRV?

I just picked this as my perimeter kitchen cabinetry and now I’m afraid it’s too yellow. 😩

Warmer grays or beige colors. Think of colors like accessible beige or lighter but in that sense.

Hi Jacob I purchased oyster white and I see a lavender pinkish undertone and the color on the can reads magenta? Did they give me the wrong shade. Does oyster have magenta in it

Hi there:) You should not see any lavender or pink undertones in Sherwin Williams Oyster White unless it was color matched or the paint store made a mistake.

Hi Picasa:) That would be a long video. Understanding undertones is one thing but there are so many other factors at play besides undertones.

I went with oyster white but i’m disappointed.🙆🏻‍♂️ It looks somewhat light purple

Did you paint it in a north facing area? That’s what happened to BM abalone in my living room. We had already bought a few gallons so on it went and I’ve hated it so much since. Purple is the worst undertone in grays in my opinion.

@@misslee6788 I can’t really say which side is north lol but i fixed it by doing a different color. I went with ash white and i love it. It’s my first apartment.

Our Behr Dove cured PINK. PINK! It was a costly $3,000 mistake.

Oyster White is a total chameleon. I just painted it in our office and I don't think I would recommend it. To me all I see is the cool green in it.
