Jared Harris was perfect as Moriarty. I understand why everyone is scared about him in the movie. He is the perfect mix between scary and determined without the fear of going too far. I mean... Look at his face, listen his voice : He is a man totally in control and he know it. Great villain portrayed by a great actor

After this one was made/came out, they edited the first film to have him voice Moriarty.

how on earth was Moriarty able to hold the entire restaurant's clientele in his sway? did he bribe them all with an autograph? or threaten them with death? I don't quite get it.

What I love about this reveal is how "normal" Moriarty is, like in the first film he was shrouded in darkness and kept as a mysterious figure and all that then this film has him just be a normal bloke. After all most psychopaths and evil do appear as the everyday guy, someone you'd never expect.

I love how James already won by the end of the film, even though he lost the battle, the war was still inevitable.

Now that is power. This is unquestionably the best portrayal of Moriarty in cinema, though I would have loved to have seen him play off of Peter Cushing's Holmes.

The Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes movies are my favourite Sherlock Holmes adaptations I've ever watched period.

This movie was great, but its too bad Moriarty never used his cool gun from the first film or even referenced (to my knowledge) the part of Blackwood's device that he stole.
