Chasing the cab - in London, it takes a lot to become a cab driver. You basically have to know every street and be able to offer the best route for any trip... it takes some 2 years, from what I've read. So, assuming Sherlock also studied that, he'd be able to anticipate the cab route and, being on foot and more flexible, figure out a route to intercept.

Yeah. Moffat used to emphasize that there were so many villains and so many stories, yet they ran out of steam after Moriarty, and never fully let him go. Plus the show was a victim of its own success, with Cumberbatch/Freeman's stardom getting in the way. Even the increased budget seemed to help screw them over...

ThatAussieGirl That depends on how you look at it, I guess. For me it is clear that she won in the end, by making Sherlock care for her. He cared enough for being there for her when she needed him. To me, she is not only smart but posesses an emotional intelligence. I can understand though, that some people have a problem with her, but for me personally she is a very clever, resourceful and independent woman and one of the more interesting opoonents that Sherlock has.

ThatAussieGirl Well, I think that the thing with Sherlock and Irene is not that much about sexuality (despite Irene's profession and her sexually "agressive" behaviour), but much more about sentiment. Yes, she may identy as a lesbian or possibly bisexual, but what is she truly saying? She says that she has feelings for him despite sexuality or labels. Emotions are not strictly bound to labels of sexuality. It is all very fluid, is it not? I completely understand that this might come across in the wrong way though. That is just how I undestand her character.

Aaaah, I loved this reaction! I’ve been meaning to rewatch Sherlock for ages and this definitely made me stop being lazy and actually get to it. Also I’m loving this dynamic for this team (so we have #TitanTrio and #Firebi. Is this #SherlockedDuo?) I relate to Rick in this. I’m also a huge Sherlock Holmes fan, I’d definitely be the friend saying a bunch of random related tidbits and comparisons. Fun fact, my dad read A Study in Scarlet to me when I was a kid, and I loved the first half, and then the mormon part started and I was SO CONFUSED and very bored. But that happens, when you’re a kid. Really glad Shane’s enjoying this, and going in almost completely blind (didn’t even know that it was modern day). So I’m really looking forward to this. And Shane doesn’t have to suffer through the 1-2 year hiatuses that we did. Lucky him. 😂 It’s fun to see Freeman and Cumberbatch before they both got sucked into the world of the Hobbit and Marvel (FOR BOTH OF THEM! I still find this funny. They keep ending up in the same franchises. Bilbo and Smaug). Speaking of actors, I think Shane might have recognized Mark Gatiss from either Doctor Who or Game of Thrones, as he’s in both of those shows. He’s also one of the creators behind this one, and writes a lot of the episodes (along with Steven Moffat, the other creator. They also have both written a lot for Doctor Who). Fun fact, both Moffat and Gatiss have said that they’re huge fans of The Princess Bride, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that reference that Shane picked up on was intentional. Anyway, really enjoyed that reaction (if it wasn’t obvious by my once again essay length comment), and I’m looking forward to looking back on this show with Rick and Shane. It meant a lot to me when it aired, and I’m always here for more Sherlock Holmes. Looking forward to next week!

Considering how much content they put out, I think that if the whole crew tried to do everything, they would burn out and the channel would suffer. They're being smart to divide the work.

Such a fun, even if unexpected duo! So glad to see Shane's enjoying the show from the start. Also, Rick as the SH expert ;)

actually, the wait for the new season was 2 years, guys. I remember those dark times... But that's because both Benedict and Martin were too busy with other projects to focus on Sherlock. Also, I don't think there will be a season 5 since Benedict said that he's not interested in playing Sherlock anymore. Plus, Mycroft is actually smarter than Sherlock but he's just too lazy to act as a consultant for Scotland Yard - he sits behind desk in MI6 and he doesn't really go out in the field but he still uses his deduction abilities to solve cases. Also, are you going to react to The Abominable Bride?
