There is something quite soothing about Becky's voice and it particularly suits Shenandoah and , with the music from the group, it results a in quiet and wistful version of this favourite number that harks back to earlier centuries when the West was being settled.

This is a very beautiful version, also agood guitar solo.. I learned to know this song by the Petersen family. They use to start all their concerts with this song .But your version with a slight different melody and without the banjo is also amazing. Greatings from Germany

Its a national park eh .. cool. Shenandoah National Park extends along the Blue Ridge Mountains in the U.S. state of Virginia. The Skyline Drive runs its length, and a vast network of trails includes a section of the long-distance Appalachian Trail.

I've always argued that Shenandoah can be performed in a faster tempo than this song is usually played. Your performance is a perfect example of this. Congrats! Beautiful voices and sounds, and excellent harmonies. And beautiful setting of the video. Greetings from Italy!!

Yep, it's a U-bass (made by Kala). It's a fairly new invention. It has the body of a baritone ukulele but super thick rubber-like strings. It's too quiet to hear on it's own but with an amp it's sounds great, almost similar to an upright in tone. Super portable and easy to play.

Terrific harmonies. And they used a studio track so you can really hear everything. Bassist needs a real bass though. Like they filmed this is winter, coatless at that?!

"Shenandoah" was a riverman's song and then sailor's song. It went through numerous changes and versions over the years and centuries, so there are no set lyrics.

Slow it down!!!

It’s like your in a hurry to get it out of the way. 😂
