As a kid I was really scared of tornados and this reminds me of watching the weather channel like a nut and it would always have this same type of jazz playing during the radar loops haha. Good times.

They use the loud ERRRRRRR to alert people far away from the TV. If they never used it then there would probably be a lot of accidents involving not hearing a warning in time.
