Unfortunately a lot of people love to hate. I'm just happy that the Mustang lives on with a V8 engine. I don't see myself buying one, but I still think it's a fantastic looking Shelby Mustang.

A lot of "it's just a modded GT" which it is. Nothing special engine wise. Does look good overall but the front end looks too modest.

@@TheCryptoFarmer power wise yes. But exterior wise next to no one is going to make that level of changes. I’m sure the suspension is awesome as well. I’m more of a drag guy with a 800 wheel hp S550. But I’d love to see one of them at a cars and coffee.

@@TheCryptoFarmer Not even close to a Mustang GT. . Purchase those carbon fiber body panels and magnesium rims, tires. Front air dam and GT3 style carbon rear wing. Add Upgraded suspension and as mentioned at Barrett-Jackson. Improved braking which is pretty damn good from Ford. With parts, upgraded Shelby interior. Then purchase a new $50,000 performance pack GT premium. Add a Whipple and headers which gets the horsepower to 830. Then pay the build labor and cost of painting the Mustang. When you have that number. You'll realize that Shelby is much more than a Mustang GT.

I’ll just keep my 21 GT 500 and do the planned performance upgrades to it that I want and still be ahead in the game

You need to keep one Mustang in your arsenal

I think it's a great looking Mustang with the use of carbon fiber front fenders, and a great looking carbon fiber rear wing and I'm guessing solid performance from the 830 horsepower Gen 4 Coyote. Ford announced when they launched the 2024 S650 Mustang. A new S650 GT500 would return as a 2026 model in 2025 In the 1960s and 70s. Shelby sold many of their Cobra roadster, GT350 and GT500 Mustangs through Ford dealerships.

Omg! It’s gorgeous! I owned one that was a 1985 GT T-Top but this is just massive! Love it! This is definitely on my wish list!

Looks good but mid 100k for a GT with a body idk. Looks good though

@@RidgeRunner4501 I can still get the parts myself and install them. My point is there nothing special about it. The gt350/500 get a unique engine versus the SS it’s a whippled GT. For the parts I can literally get the supercharger from whipple, and the rest of the parts from either a mustang website or the manufacturer themselves. The s550 SS body kit I can from the Shelby website. I’m sure sooner or later the same will be for this one. I have ordered parts from there and yes Shelby is proud of their products based on the price they sell them for. I’d rather buy a gt500 CFTP for less and get a vintage that matches vs this new SS has a GT vin which will hurt if you try to finance or trade in. It’ll help the dealer because they’ll turn around and sell it as a SS but the bank won’t give you 150k for a GT

@@ricardovaldez4658 you are paying for the exact setup, the body work, wheels, interior changes, engine mods, exhaust, suspension changes etc. you’re paying for the amount of work you’re having done. You’re paying to own what Shelby would do with the current Mustang if they really built their own trim. To boil it down to “it’s just a modded Mustang” if anything, just proves that you don’t understand what this is

I think the car looks 10x better than just a standard s650. If i had to hate on one thing id say its the wheel design. They're not horrible but they couldve chose something a little better. The Big deck lid, and front end look alot better imo. As far as price goes, this world has gone absolutely insane with these stickers prices that just keep skyrocketing. Base gt's shouldn't be costing 45-50k. Dark horse prices are even more insane for minimal performance gains.

Ford will direct ship to Shelby once the dealership you purchase from enters the Shelby shipping destination. My 2022 Steeda Mach 1 was the same way. No additional cost, except maybe when you want it shipped to you once it is completed.

Better way to go is to supercharge the dark horse Wich has titanium conrods and better suspension plus tires of you choose the handling pack,it would still be much cheaper and just as powerful,but I guess people would choose the Shelby mostly because of the looks ,I wish the dark horse looked like that

In Shelby America's video, they stated the vents on the headlights are functional as is every other vent. If it was added to the car, it has purpose.

They look really good and I’m sure it’s a bad ass machine but with only 250 of them being made it’s gonna be nearly impossible to get one and even if you can get one, the price is probably gonna be 150k plus , at that point, I would just take a dark horse or performance pack GT and do some modifications and a Whipple kit etc etc etc for way way cheaper. I actually love the way they look though. The Super Snake 🇺🇸💪🏼🐎

I bought my 20’ GT500 for mid 80’s & paid 115 or 23’ Raptor R . I’d pay 125 but going to wait for next GT500. Maybe see what R36 GTR really ends up being

Another excellent review as always Austin. Objective and highly informative. Not sure there is enough there to warrant the pricing you are estimating for this vehicle. I would imagine most buyers would purchase and leave garaged. Not keen on the body modifications even if functional. Hard to beat the classic GT 350 or GT 500 as you know. And, really what are you going to do with 800+ HP on the street? This does not seem a purpose built race car for track purposes only. You had to sell your GT 500 because tire life on the track was very poor. I don't see this being much different. I am fortunate to own a GT 350 and for my money it is a wonderfully balanced sports car. Hopefully, Shelby will let you take one for a test drive soon!

It will be worth it. I have one on order. They will only make 250 cars.

I love the new look of the Shelby Super Snake look but for that price I would take a low spec C8 Z06. I just bought a 2019 Ford Mustang GT performance pack 1 so this is hard for me to say, but It is the truth. Z06 all day.

Big time bucks right there, hell I spent $69 grand on my Shelby 350 and was looking into the 500 when they came out and say HELL NO 🤣 I’ll stick with my 350 ❤️

I actually prefer the look of the super snake vs the GTD. Maybe its the wheels, the GTD wheels look too busy for me. lol.

Looks awesome and I'm sure it will drive great. Interior is still the weak point for Mustangs. Materials are subpar for a car in the price range.

Think is awesome but its not built by ford only purchase threw shelby. Im sure its gonna be a heavy price tag. For the money id buy a ZR1 way more car for the money. Not saying its not awesome because it is. To bad u can buy a ZR1 for the same amount of money. Should be priced accordingly but its not. But if money is no option and u love fords then thats all that matters i guess. Just happy that American made V8 cars still available just wish they were more affordable lol!!
