Shelby GT350R Owner Review - The Best Car No One Is Talking About Anymore

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

What's up everyone a happy late summer and today we feature our third Mustang Shelby GT350R review in our favorite Oxford White w/ Kona Blue stripes. A 3,600-mile never-tracked creampuff example. In this video, we'll explore the key differences between the regular GT350 and the GT350R, delve into the collectability, and take you on an honest POV drive through scenic backcountry Tennessee roads. This was filmed late summer before I left for Monterey Car Week, and it was a beautiful summer evening. The POV drive was filmed when I got back, the Monday after Labor Day weekend.
In this Mustang Shelby GT350R review, we hope you better understand this car's unique driving experience that just sets the Mustang Shelby GT350R apart. We think it will always be considered a true American muscle car, and one to aspire to in any collection. We'll also share insights on the market value, and investment potential of this modern classic.
With 526 horses and 429 ft. pounds of torque the 5.2 liter flat-plane crank hand-assembled Voodoo V8 engine is one incredible powerplant. Turn up the volume on the point-of-view drive and listen to that flat-plane crank V8 engine sing. The Tremec six-speed transmission is really good in this car too. While difficult to heel and toe the Shelby GT350R, overall it's a winning ad thrilling driving experience.
At the end, stay tuned or hit the chapter button as we update you on our exciting new custom detached garage project, tailor-made for housing this incredible Shelby GT350Rs. While we have a month left as of typing this, we look forward to making content in my small automotive sanctuary.
Keep in mind guys I shoot this all in one-take, and don't write out detailed scripts. I only currently have time to shoot one review video a week at best, and what you see here has to be shot one-take in the three or four hours I have free to do this. If you think we deserve it, please like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell to join us on this channel's journey. Your support means the world to me. Great video! Your description of the visceral feel of driving your GT350R reminds me of how it feels for me to drive my '13 Boss 302 Laguna Seca. While the GT350R is a level (or two) beyond the Boss 302LS, the fun factor you're describing sounds very familiar. Someday, I'd love to have a GT350R in addition to the Boss.

just found this review. I appreciate your passion for your R. I got into the GT350 and 350Rs which convinced me to get my F-150 with the Coyote motor instead of the Ecoboosts. I also did a Raptor Steering wheel swap (yes i do paddle shift it everytime i drive it) because I came from a manual WRX. I would love to own either a 350 or 350R in the future and like I said, I really do appreciate and share your passion for them even if I don't own them yet because I too value a great driving experience.

For those wheels alone it’s worth the 10k more. The 19 & 20’s are 60-65k and the R’s are 70-75k, there’s just less R’s so they will retain value much better.

  • @johnalterio372

That is a lot of coin against the improvement gains over the stock. I don't argue that R's will retain value (for collectors), but only if the miles are low. This all brings me to my original comment.. a non-R gt350 can be driven and enjoyed! I have 12k on mine and love it.

Naw, people still talk about them. But when used prices went drastically above what their MSRP was, then people are going to stop caring and pass up on it. The market is coming down finally, but it never should have gone up in the first place. GT350R’s that were selling for $90k, are now selling for mid-$60k’s, and continue to drop week after week. This is finally becoming a good value car. $50k’s are where they should realistically be right now.

@@Driven-Productions Like you said not enough road to rev it out. But once you hit a back road with no traffic it's so good. I'm on my second one. I got a new 2020 GT350 then sold it to get a used 2018 GT350R.

Like any mustang 🐎 with these amazing 5 liter V8's the GT350 will eat supercharged Corvette's alive with a few simple mods and a Lund racing tune.

I said it from the beginning, those peoples who purchased these shelby's then sold them fast will be kicking themselves in the head in the future. they will sell for near millions if not simply millions. it wont be about speed as EV will be a far greater rush in terms of speed, but EV's dont have souls. they are not living machines as is a combustion engine vehicle. the vibration the sounds the connection between the driver and the machine. EV's for all their greatness loose a ton of that connection. Even many supercars dont have it. as their engineering dials out the personallity of the vehicle which actually comes by a lack of perfection.

80% of all GT350s were purchased as collectibles or investments. Pathetic. No wonder the owners are snobs always trying to protect their investments.

Why do some have red roll cages and some don’t? Some have the red R on the side and some don’t. Strange….

Cage is installed aftermarket, not a factory option. R badge on side is also aftermarket. Mine is 100% stock
