Capital One Cup football returned to Hillsborough on Tuesday evening - and the Owls eased past League Two Mansfield and into the second round.
In much the same way as they beat Bristol City in the Championship at the weekend, Wednesday dominated proceedings from the first whistle.
Early goals from Lucas Joao and Jose Semedo put the hosts in the driving seat and although they conceded right on half time through Ryan Tafazolli, Wednesday went on to seal a comfortable passage to the next stage with Kieran Lee and Modou Sougou on target in the second period.

Excellent play from Sougou for Lee's goal. Joao was also outstanding. Jesus I'd hate to be Carlos right now, picking the team must be an absolute nightmare

First time we've had this problem , early days but looking good for us this season 10 goals in 3 games conceding just 1 :) hope we keep it up

Jonathan Edwards I think that was Joao who made the pass in for Lee wasn't it? Anyway, they both looked great, at least in these highlights. Can't wait to see who plays at Ipswich.

Keep thinking that myself , should have scored at the weekend , think he's looking a little nervous , he starts getting the confidence he will be one of our top scorers he's always where he needs to be , jus needs to find his shot
Unfortunetley I missed this game but it looks great go wednesday
