In this video i have taken simple sheetmetal example parts to calculate flat length theoretically and with the help of solidworks.

Thank you very very much... this works very well for me. this was what I was looking for for a long time ... Thank you again.
Good video. I wish I had found this sooner, it would have helped me a lot instead of having to learn all this on my own, one piece at a time with trial and error. I have figured out that this theory/math also works pretty well when bending tubes and bolts as well as sheet metal. For bending bolts; Take the total outside leg length (L1) and subtrack the outside setback (OSSB), and pluss half a bend allowance. That's where you mark it to bend with a press machine. I tried this and it worked out really well.

Thank you so much, really easy to understand.
This is very good video. I will be wait next video related to flat length calculation .
Excellent tutorial. Thanks.
Very well done, thank you.
Thank you so much pro!
Thanks to clear explanation.
Good example!
very nice great intension to describe
Nicely explained Thankyou for the data of Xlx file
Really its very helpful
Thank you so much keep it man
Very informative
GOOD VIDEO SIR....
Very helpful
Very good
In interview asked question in sheet metal what is neutral axis and use pls tell me sir

Thanks
Thanks sir
Good explain bro. Very informative! How to go reverse like flat pattern (development) to bending? Have you Any easily trick?
What if the part is complicated in shape, will it still fit that way?
How to Calculate on which dimension we should make bend?
Do you have one for inch ?
how to calculate the flat length for manufacturing Z purline 200 * 75 * 70 * 20 * 20 * 2.5 mm ( lip angle 45 degree and thickness is 2.5 mm ) , the material is galvanized steel - please i need a simple equation to use it with different types of purlines like C - purline , U - purline & Z - purline
Kisi draw kiye hue component ka blank size kaise nikalte hai
i thought flat length should be more since it will reduce after bending, help on this. how come it is less instead?? Thanks

Sir please rply me, it very important for me to know
10 mm copper and 10 mm alluminium please define as per same video bending profile
Send bending radius sheet
Sir kya yhi video hindi mai bna sakte hai aap
Sir ye please send the sheet
For the first example flat length will come 136.8mm but you shown 132.8mm. can you please describe how it comes?

In the video, I am describing that only .. Also you can cross verify it in solidworks as I showed.
Plz put more videos on press tonnage calculation

There should be a plaque on the side of the bench press that you can read it off. This video at 1:28 explains the plaque: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pHWL1NuKYKuolso.html Hope it helps!
