I just found you from Derick's videos. As an old worn-out carpenter in Maine, I'm impressed whit you guys. Just remember that you can never stop learning. I learnd a few things from you on Derik's videos he made when he was working with you and I'm 66. Good luck to you,

Awesome work man. Glad to see I’m not alone in this KZread journey. Wish there were more young guys like us in this trade. Interesting little fact about that sub-fascia. But hey one less thing you have to do😂

19 year old lead? That's awesome man. I wish I went lead when I was younger, I was to busy fucking around to take it seriously. But one thing I realized is your framing years are finite, and if you want to make the most of it you got to break into your own jobs as you g as possible. I didn't go lead until 25 then spent 10 years as a lead for a boss that just didn't want to pay me more so finally got my own jobs at 35 but I'm not framing big houses anymore, just additions and exterior trim. Still make great money but I definitely miss framing big houses. Do you plan on going out on your own soon?

Hey Jerod. Wanted to get your opinion. I’m needing a 21 degree framer, does the gun you use in this video hold up pretty well or do you just have it for nailing off sheets?

Right? I’ve talked with my dad/boss and we’re gonna start doing it in the framing stage now, makes the sheeting so much cleaner and it also helps with starting that first row of sheets Thanks for watching :)

Do you ever tie off? Do you have any hobbies that improve balance? skate/surf? run your headphones through the inside of your shirt and out the neck opening.

Me and my coworkers have skated together before and rock climbed, again if we’re on a site that enforces it, or if we aren’t comfortable we will tie off usually

You guys don’t use staples for sheeting?

I actually used mostly staples for this roof, but our supplier ran out, so I had to use 8s for a little while, for some reason most people use nails out here, I absolutely love staples though
