It's a passing game now in college football, and it definitely is in the NFL. 1 RB was taken in the First 2 rounds of the NFL draft. That position is fading.

It's more than the talent, it's about character. For example, coaches want to know how a player reacts if he's not on the field. Does he sulk, sit on the far end of the bench away from others, or does he engage with the team? These intangibles may seem little but believe that it counts. The last thing any locker room want is toxicity. That spreads quicker than you'd ever know. I've coached over 20 years. I've seen just about everything.

‘Full background checks’????? Did coach prime try to get away with “partial’ background checks last year?

Paper background ground checks only show you what is reported and what people in your corner has to say. Coach said he started checking with people that others find insignificant like janitors, corner store grocery clerks, teachers, classmates. He wants to find out the type of person they really are and the character they possess when no one is watching.

CU isnt built like that. When you have a losing record, you take who you can get. Stop acting like youre Georgia.

It wasn’t the reality tv that was an issue . It was the fact that rattler was a complete cocky asshole to his teammates . Those traits would be considered being a bad teammate and character issue. Shedeur doesn’t have character issues , and he’s a good teammate

If you were listening what he said is they do a complete background check followed by he checked Wester's PFF. For a football player that means looking at their film, their PFF, reaching out and talking to their former coaches and teammates, what's their motivation for playing, etc. That's a complete background check for a football player not just a check for a criminal record or bad credit. C'mon man think about his comment in context of football. They want to know what intangibles they bring to the table and if a player will be a good fit for the team.
