Shedding After Hair Transplant - Is it NORMAL?
Ғылым және технология
Hair transplantation is the best way to permanently restore your hair and overcome baldness once and for all.
But your results won’t appear overnight, and even the most successful hair transplants undergo a period of shock loss after the surgery.

Thank you for your advice. I went to Turkey Istanbul for hair transplant. It's 30 days of my hair transplant. I'm having a problem that day and the hair is falling out as shedding phase. But everyone's hair will fall out then slowly the original hair will come back. Also, the dooner area itching is natural. I gained confidence and understanding from watching everyone's videos. Thanks.

Thank you 🙏 The regrowth should start in a few weeks, good luck!
still have a decent amount of shedding however the hairs that are shedding are becoming smaller and thinner. very happy with my results, I only see improvement when I look in the mirror
I got my hair transplant In Istanbul 9 days ago. Scabs are now falling off the graft area and tiny hairs are growing. I can’t wait to see how it will look in a year.

What does it mean if your three weeks in and some of your shedded hairs have bulbs/roots on the end? Does this mean you have lost the graft?
Man .. the shock loss phase I underestimated 😂.. went from “ man I feel like the shit” with a nice buzz cut & hairline to “ i look like shit & why did I do this’!!” It was all worth it tho! That ugly duckling phase was terrifying & full of anxiety!! But the outcome was more than I could have expected! Feel and look so much better .. They usally say “ it gets worse before it gets better so for anyone that reads this comment stressing about this exact concern … it will be worth it🙏🏼stay patient & prepare to look amazing in the next few months ❤

What would happen if I play football after 3 week now that grafts are permanently secured and little hairs are coming through ?
what about hair you had before the transplant. I have read of people saying it shedding or being slow to grow back. What is that all about.
I have a question about post-operative recovery, hair shedding and dieting. I had my transplant surgery about 6 weeks ago and am already in the shedding phase. I understand this is normal and I’m not concerned. However, I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and my GP wants me to go on a 12-week very low-calorie diet. I know that some people may develop hair loss called telogen effluvium (TE) during low-calorie diets. Usually, this hair grows back after the diet has ended. I am more concerned about permanently damaging the newly transplanted hair grafts. Is there a significant risk of this if I do a very low-calorie diet?

Will hair folicles get affected if we consume alcohol after a month of treatment?
Completed my 4th month and 5th starting I am still having hair fall from both transplanted region and the non transplant area whenever I run my hands through them while applying minoxidil. I am on finasteride 1mg/day (4 months total) Please comment what I am going through Thank you
Hi, Why do I lose hair after 9 months of hair transplantation?
Is it okay if after the Hair transplant Surgery you use minoxodil during the hair regrowth time and then after you gain the fully thick hair you have stop using minoxodil, does it will not cause hair fall again as you have already done FUE hair transplant?

Transplanted hair are safe as they are DHT resistant. But the ones that are native to upper part of your head may still continue to fall off

Great video! I am about 5 months into a transplant, on topical finasteride and minoxidil and I am just now seeing the shedding. I recall almost no fall out at all over the past 5 months just normal growth of the new hair. Now it is all shedding. Thoughts?

What about shedding after 15 mnths of transplant? Is this normal?
nice video !! I have few questions: 1.It's been one month, and I noticed my hair shedding when I take a shower is it normal ? 2. the back doner area itches me like crazy is it normal at 1 month. ? 3. Can I go to the gym and lift heavy weights ?
@HairPalaceHairClinic
Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Great questions! 1. Yes, the shedding is normal, the implanted hairs start to fall out around 3-4 weeks after the surgery. 2. The donor area can be itchy as the scalp heals. Usually an aloe vera gel or spray can help soothe the skin, but check with your doctor if they have a specific product they recommend. 3. As you are now past the 1 month mark, it should be okay to return to the gym.

Many of the transplanted grafts do not survive. They do not all grow back. Seems to me 1/3 to 1/2 of the grafts do not grow back.

What about if you don't shed any hair does this mean the transplant has failed?

Not at all! Rarely, but it can happen that the newly transplanted follicles continue on with their growth cycle, and do not shed the hairs.

Hello there! Itchiness is completely normal to experience at early stages of the recovery, as it is a sign of healing rather than infection. It is important to avoid scratching the implanted area at early stages of the recovery. If it does not subside in the coming weeks make sure to contact your doctor!

@@HairPalaceHairClinic - I cannot avoid scratching hard and often. Scratching cannot damage the grafts, correct, unless it causes an infection or pulls one out? I am seven weeks into it and it still itches like crazy.

Usually it takes around 10-21 days for the redness to completely fade, but it also depends on how sensitive your skin is. If it does not seem to fade or you notice any pain, it's best to contact your surgeon for advice.

@@debris360 I’m at 7.5 months now. Still happening. Couple discoveries. Shedding was everywhere. It’s a lot less now. I see 5 hairs, as opposed to like 10+ in hands every time after shampoo. Everyone I talked to says it’s normal. Could be delayed shock loss too? Hair is def growing though. It’s much thicker where I got the transplant and more hair is coming in. I may just be a late bloomer? I also wasn’t doing minoxidil. I got prescribed it orally a little while ago. I take it with finasteride, which I’ve been taking for 2 years. That said, I’m still worried about shedding. I never shed in shower before transplant either. My clinic said to rub hard while shampooing when I brought all this up. However, everywhere else I looked online said light so I dunno really? Clinic said to get PRP asap as well, which I did last week. With light laser therapy before it too. I’ll let you know if shedding ever stops and if I did anything different. Hope this helps 👍

@@debris360 Sorry to hear that. Mine is stabilizing/getting slightly better. I think I was over doing my serum and that was causing more blockages and hair fall. So, I abandoned that all together. There's probably over stuff going that I may discover later? For past month, I've added Collagen (6,000 mg) + more biotin (now it's 8,000 mcg) a day. That's now part of my regular stuff I take with multivitamin, finasteride + oral minoxidil. I did also switch shampoo from my hair clinic shampoo to the Pura d'or gold label one. I think the Pura d'or is a lighter, not as aggressive shampoo. In the past few weeks that I've done all this, my hair has grown a lot better! Shedding still happens but it is decreasing somewhat. I think it just takes time. That's my regime so far. Hang in there. Contact the right people. Do research and narrow down what you think is wrong. Everyone is certainly different. I keep telling myself it's a 12 - 18 month process instead of 8 or 10 or 12 months. Keep at it! Good luck. I'll keep updating this once I see definitive results.
It has been 27 days of my transplant and all of the transplanted hair have shedded. I'm back to how I looked before. Let's see how it goes from here
