Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
At Sheep School every day's a school day. In this video we had a sheep missed at shearing time so I decided to try out the dressing stand to shear her myself.

Sorry it was short.. next weeks will definitely be longer 👌
Thanks for shearing the sheep on that stand,, I did think it would be good for hobby sheep holders so they could shear themselves and I’d say easy on the back ❤ Thanks again for showing it

I think hobby sheep holders have a problem getting shearers to call for small numbers ..

@@sheepschool365 my local has 40 ewes and it cost him €120 to shear I told him about your stand He thinks it’s a good idea
You have a really nice invention. As anyone who gets older knows, stooping down gets harder and harder. Have you thought of putting some big diameter wheels on making it easier to move around?

Thank you 👍. I assumed most of the work would be around shed or yard so I put smaller diameter wheels to make it a little more compact. Maybe something I could fit if somebody asks...👌
Impressive equipment, enjoy the break. Looking forward to a long video next week 👍

Definitely easier for an inexperienced shearer. One sheep and my back is usually in bits.
I think this is a great idea. Backs get so much work in traditional sheering.

Well made dressing stand , and you made a good job of the clipping , once you get the weight of the wool over her back you were flying. Great stuff.

Very good job, David. Just one tip: If you have the sheep's head fully extended (raise the headlock just a little in her case), it will help stretch out the skin and reduce the opportunity for nicks on the neck and chest. But you did great!

Thank you Craig, I did find the crinkles on the neck a bit more challenging...

@@sheepschool365 It can be even more challenging with a ewe that drying up. But she was in really good condition. It's difficult to ALWAYS keep the skin as tight as it needs to be--even with a ewe in good condition.
Morning david. You did well to get the fleece off in the full. Starting at the neck is probably a good idea. Well made bit of kit

Well do could have a place with older and people with bad backs how can't left as well as for show.

Exactly why I decided to make them 👌 An older neighbour with a bad back really struggles to do anything with his sheep especially prolapse problems so I made one for him..
