Bottom part is actually under tension.. though we neglect it

Please tell double cover double butt joint me why consider only half number of bolts and the mirror image is not used in analysis

What if the primary and secondary beams are connected by angle plates with both ends being welded instead only one end welded while other bolted

No issue..it will work ..but if you have ever witnessed any Steel construction, you know that at high, it is very difficult to weld something that is why at the ground we weld one end and at high we only boltt it

Please visualise block shear failure how tension and shear both develops and where ..
