If my husband is going out of his way to ruin a holiday for me, the marriage has an expiration date.

You could just tell in her voice that she regretted doing it. And then all honesty if he hasn’t done this in years before, why would you expect him to do anything this year again that doesn’t make sense to me

Hold strong. Wait it out until he talks to you about it. Chances are he's sad, because he may have realized what he's done/not done throughout the years. There may be some embarrassment. But.. then again he may be self absorbed and not see anything either. I'm looking forward to an update next Mother's Day (2025)

Father's & Mother's Day is honoring all Parents especially if they are still living just because the person isn't your Mother/ Father doesn't mean you can't give them a gift especially if it is your wife/husband.

He’s not your father. If you have kids help them do something for their father. If they are of age then they are on their own. I take my mother out for Mother’s Day. Not my wife. My wife gets 364 days of attention.

How about communicate what you’d like on Mother’s Day or at least that it’s important to you. Y’all playing games expecting to change others behavior without them even knowing
