Dave I have Collector Teddy Bears and all I can say is "If you love it and want it then buy the darn Teddy". Its your choice. I would have brought them all to . Others spend their money on stuff you could never keep. All the way from Western Australia.

You can tell a lot of those bears are beautifully made and from quality materials, I’m sure you’ll do great . Offer the lady her polar bear back for $700 as you wouldn’t want to give her cheaper and insult her craftsmanship 😅

Those plate negatives are amazing. You can make prints from the photos and sell them. I bought several prints from someone at a local art fair for like $40 each years ago.

05:18 Glass plate negs! Been there, printed those! I did darkroom stuff with my dad and those negs were still in use at the turn of the century for larger format stuff. The negs could be 8x10 inches. Long exposure times but fine detail. I found a print of an archaological dig in Rome once. THe photo was takend from atop the dig, and you could use a magnifying glass and see what the workmen had for lunch and just about read their newspapers. Sold it on eBay back to Italy.

Yeah, I want more explosions! Looks like the majority of the stuff was overpriced but also seemed like the place you’d shop for yourself instead of selling. The bowling ball with the skull inside was awesome, as were the glass negatives.

I've sold alot of glass plate negatives, and if the content isn't interesting, they are a tough sell. But you killed with the bear buy - even if they don't sell quick, they will make good money for you over time.

Definitely hard to drop 450 on teddy bears but i think you did good just in those 3 sales it proves theres still a market for it

Be careful when buying plush, I bought two large mid century poodles at a flea market, that appeared to be in very good condition, with tags, but when I got home, noticed they smelled like urine. I rarely buy plush anymore, unless it’s really rare.

Now that I actually finished the video, the artisan bears was a good deal - you’ve almost made your money back, the rest will be profit. I’d keep that big $300 bear for myself, though.
