@Rocky Road Creations i have one of those little space heaters and it does ok until it gets to below 0. That's when i really can't be out there because it's too cold. And i have to bring some of my mixed media inside the house especially my art glitter glue. I try to put plastic over the windows but since I don't have "window frames" they don't stick to the inside. Next winter, I might try going on the outside. Now if mini splits weren't so expensive. In the summer, I use a window AC to keep it cool.

I have a question about the weather in your she shed. My husband built one for me, just like yours. Hindsight, I would have done without the porch and used more space. Anyway, I can’t use my shed because the extreme cold and heat has ruined my supplies. I had to move into the house. Does your supplies stand up to the weather? I lost tape, and glues and Nuvo mousse and numerous other mixed media type stuff. It made my vintage paper even more brittle. How long have you been in your shed? Thank you.

Yeah i kind of wish i had a smaller porch but I love my porch to sit and read. The heat isn't really a problem because I have a window ac i use in the summer. But the humidity was a problem at first, so I got the dehumidifier. But the extreme cold is a problem. Anything below 0 it's just so cold. But it hasnt ruined anything other than my art glitter glue. I got my shed in February of 2021 so I'm going on my 3rd year in it.

@@kelliescraftythumb do you have to keep the ac running, even when you are not in it? I had to, but that became to expensive. I also have a skylight in mine, which was an other, I wish I didn’t get, and it adds a lot of heat. I put my doll houses I build, out in the shed and the glue holding the faux foundation, is coming off and so is the siding I put on it. And the railing spindles are falling apart because the glue isn’t holding up in the heat or cold, I don’t know which. I wish I could enjoy my shed more. I am glad yours is working out for you. Happy crafting.

@@libertylost8286 If you use the shed, you need to keep the AC on all the time, that is one downside you have to put up with. I have mine running all day and night but mine is a mini split unit which it is more energy efficient. Otherwise, you will loose supplies constantly. The issue is the extreme temperatures and humidity. I only turn it off occasionally when the weather is dry enough and the temps are around the high 60's to low 70's.

Doesn't your glitter glues, reinkers, nuvo drops get ruined by sitting by a window, with direct sunlight? Your shed doesn't look like its insulated? How does it not ruin your stuff? Especially in freezing weather. I have a shed, but opted to have my craftroom in basement, since its tempeture sits at 65 degrees all year long. But I do run a little heater when weather calls for 40 or below, which doesn't happen to much here.

It is insulated, and it stays pretty warm until it gets down to negative temperatures. But anything that would have issues if it freezes, I take in the house in the winter. Especially my art glitter glue. I use a space heater to keep it warm. This will be my third full winter and I manage. The only part that needs better insulation is the ceiling and floor but the walls have fiberglass insulation, thick wood and corragated metal.
