What an amazing job you did. I like when you said only yourself can stop your dreams. I am so guilty of that. Was always told by my mom and sister what a idiot I was. My dad was the one who believed in me. Then I married and he was just like my mom and sister. Everything I said was wrong. When I went to college he thought it was a waste of time. But he was wrong I was on the deans list, after he passed a month after I started my last classes. Only problem was the money was tied up and I couldn’t pay for the fall and spring semesters. The college gave me the money for all my expenses and I didn’t have to pay back. I was honored with 3 other ladies as the best of the Early Childhood Program. I continued working and became the assistant director of a large center with around 125 kids enrolled. Then was hired by another center for the summer and another for my last 3 years before retiring. All because I believed in what I was doing. To bad it didn’t transfer into my home life. But watching you I have done a few things that I couldn’t have done before. Can’t wait to see the interior of your she shed.

I too was a misfit, and after a career in oncology, became a woodcarver and have a woodworking shop. I am in the planning stages for my she shed as a 70 th birthday present to myself. The first tree house, with the tree running through the house, was great for my 3boys, (complete with skylight, trap door, stained glass, electrical outlet, veranda, glass and screen windows and door into the wall furniture) but due to age, had to be taken down, except for saving the sunken posts support. You have given me the kick to seriously get planning. Nicely done! Thank you.

I've done two small builds myself, one woman build. It's such an amazing feeling to look at what we have created. My saying has always been " I Love being a Woman who can"!

Woman strong!! I am like you..I am 64 years young. I have built so many things in my life..nothing quite as big as your little house, but chicken houses, cabinets , furniture..I love my tools. When I married my husband I told him..no jewelry for me, I want power tools. He has not failed me. I love that more women are learning these skills. They have stayed with me since I was a little girl helping my amazing Dad. You go girl!! Great job!

WOW! This was, and you are, AMAZING! I am SO impressed! The guys in my family were very good at using tools and creating what they envisioned. But I never got the opportunity to learn how to use power tools until I was retired. I LOVE it and use them to make wood signs. Also made a workbench for my son and one for myself this spring.
