The principle was permitted, but polygamy was limited to four wives. So if your a wife means your husband can have 3 more wives, imagine your daughters, sisters having to put up this nonsense. Even in the Bible, the prophets, peace be upon them, had several wives, such as Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, and many others. This is God’s law and a test for women. Whoever is patient will receive Paradise, and whoever rejects Islam for this reason will lose everything I want to point out that polygamy is so rare that I almost never know anyone who has two wives, and that I live in the Arabian Peninsula, the heart of the Islamic world.
