I believe every child is born with empathy, but conditions and people do such damage to these little gentle spirits that they close down their empathy and then set about making everyone they encounter miserable, too! Tragic. This mother did the right things to help her child understand her own emotional reaction and give her compassion. The little girl obviously gets her needs met when needed because she tells the dinosaur, "Say 'Mama!' " Clearly, this child has learned when she says "Mama" Mama comes and helps her. That is what all children need and deserve. ❤❤❤

This is what I was going to comment! I was brought up constantly being told I was too sensitive, it took a lot of time to undo. I have three boys, one of which is similar to me. At 18, he has more empathy in his little finger than most yound men. ❤❤❤

Empathic qualities are becoming more rare...I was once asked if I could teach law enforcement coworkers how to have empathy and compassion for others. I wish I knew how to teach it but I believe its something you're born with

not necessarily. My beautiful daughter was just like this adorable little girl. She even cried when I killed a slug in the garden. She said that its family might now be waiting for the Mami that never comes home again. Sadly my beloved little girl became a uncaring, ice-cold, hard woman in adulthood.

you can't protect them, narcissists and sociopaths/psychopaths (the majority of the world) are predators and they are drawn to sensitive people. My daughter and I know this only to well, hate to say it but she'll probably end up with ptsd.

If I can go through what I did & be ok, she will be. I was abused pretty bad. I came out of that & it didn't break me. I think this little one will be fine. I sure hope so. I didn't have the love & support she does. Much love 💕

Rare. But not good. When youre an adult, nobody will understand. It‘s only cute, when kids have it. Later on people hate it, it‘s annoying for them. Was once a child like her. Crying when somebody tells a sad store, because i felt what they felt. You will meet so many people who will hurt you and it will affect you so deeply. May you never meet a bad person little girl.

Lots of kids are like that, I was exactly the same There is nothing so very special about it, really And grown-ups generally don’t appreciate it in teens or adults, as sexuality, aggressiveness, cynical attitude and “being cool” is all that matter in the first place Not empathy)
