Rent or buy She’s out of my league here: bit.ly/3tZUi4T
What’s the movie She’s out of my league about?
Kirk Kettner (Jay Baruchel) is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in his mid-20s who has low self-esteem and, by his own admission, has not accomplished very much in life. He works at the Pittsburgh International Airport as a Transportation Security Administration officer, and hopes of becoming a pilot one day. He tries to get back together with his self-centered ex-girlfriend, Marnie (Lindsay Sloane). Kirk can't believe his luck when a gorgeous, successful woman named Molly McCleish (Alice Eve) falls in love with him. With no help from his stunned friends, relatives, and ex-girlfriend, Kirk must figure out how to make this unlikely relationship work, even though he's the first to admit that Molly is way beyond him.

What??? Most of the movie is people doubting the relationship? The whole ending was Stainer realizing that he is one of the main reasons why they broke up, because he kept telling Kirk that it wouldn't work. Devon is fully supportive and Jack is kind of supportive in the beginning but then comes around to being fully supportive and gives him a lot of good advice

@@krustykrabpizza7853 No it wasn't. Stainer is the only one that hits on her and that's before Kirk met her. Devon is 100% supportive and Jack is skeptic and kind of doubts that she really likes him, but then becomes 100% supportive

One of the women I dated that was out of my league treated me as expected for several dates. She was very distant and reserved. would not tell me much about herself. All expected behavoir. As it turned out she was actually self conscious because she thought I was out of her league. Brillant communication on both our parts.

Sadly it didn't work out on my end. My job was terrible, but was consistent. She was a nurse, I worked at an amusement park, she had a child, which I met once at her home. As soon as she added me on facebook and she told her mom about me. Her mom got mad as to why a guy like me. The mom was bothered and it bothered my ex too. She pretty much let her mom do the talking/thinking, which ended up in our breakup. I told her my goals/plans, but they wanted a then and now kinda thing. So, yeah. Good on you 100%~!!

I have had some not just out of my league but out of most peoples league women before and it's always when I just basically made no effort to flirt with them which made them relaxed around me and just being someone they could talk to made them get attached to me, throw in things like like I compliment them on a day where they don't wear make up and/or feel rough or tired and it boosted their self esteem and I have complimented how smart they are and I get told normally men compliment their looks and never their intelligence. To be honest I have had more trouble getting "average" looking women to like me as they often act like they are 10 out of 10's But overall the ones I have been friends with/close to/dated have been ones who have something lacking in self confidence that I make better.

Something I really like about this movie is how it shows the friendships of all four of them so equally. With kirk being the lead character it would be easy to make him the head of that friend group. But they show scenes like this of Jack hanging out with Devon. Then there's the scene of Stainer leaving to get food with Jack. Then you have scenes of Kirk walking to the party with Devon and Devon shaving Kirk's balls. But then Kirk takes Stainer to the hockey game. Seems like a very strong and supportive friend group, which really adds to the movie.

Honestly, the first time I met my girl, I was SO sure she'd never go for a guy like me. She seemed so ambitious, smart, determined, and extremely kind that it was safe for me to assume that she would only settle for a guy with the same qualities. A couple drinks gave me the rationing I needed to give it a shot and one thing led to another and now here we are happily engaged. It was only recently when I opened up about that encounter did she tell me that she felt the exact same way about me. Sometimes, it's the people we love that bring out the things we didn't know about ourselves, the things that our insecurities bury deep down and only come up when we say "to hell with them" or find someone that helps us reel in that heavy anchor. Love this movie.
