Bun is a 2. A ponytail, then twist hair and wrap around the ponytail holder. Then put in pins.

Wood chips are good with a dog house and a tree to keep shade for the dogs

I would start by using a comb or brush to pull all of the hair back into a pony tail. Then I would take the tail and wrap it around the pony tail holder and then use pins or a scrunchy to secure it.

Your bun looks fine! An easier way to do it is the same way as doing a ponytail but instead of pulling it all the way through leave it half done

Some yard ideas. Buy turf grass/carpet from home depot or lowes and just lay down. Easy clean up because you can just rinse off. The only downside is that it gets hot with heat but it's just an idea. We did this with our front yard and our dogs pee on it all of the time.

We had pea gravel. The poop was harder to pick up and the gravel reeked of urine no matter how much we cleaned. Grass is best. Clean up after the dogs often.

I would fence in with 1/2 to 3/4 way grass, rest with pee grave, then on the grass id add a kiddy pool and on the gravel a elevated dog bed. Put shades from house to fence on that side. Lol that sounds nice to me since that what I want at my new house whenever it happens
