Really liking the longer videos. Josh does a great job of explaining what he's doing and especially WHY he's doing it. It's great for us solar newbs to learn - he would probably be a good teacher. Good camera work too Erin - y'all are such a high quality team working together.
This is the kind of stuff that should be taught in regular schools growing up so kids know more than the basic reading , writing etc. This kind of knowledge is priceless as can be seen by this couple who work amazing together! Such a great family unit too! I love the vids I have seen so far !
Just wanted to let You and Your Family know there are still those of us who are looking/researching your older videos!! They are still Much Appreciated!! Blessings to You and Your Family in 2024!
I'm a retired engineer (electrical) that has spent a lot of time working on industrial systems. It is a joy watching you work, you are obviously a skilled electrician that knows what you are doing. I just started watching your channel, so I'm viewing things out of order, but I'll eventually watch it all, I'm sure. I can't wait, keep up the good work.
I love watching professionals work. Josh's attention to detail is refreshing. You can tell he's done this before lol! And both of you are indeed a breath of fresh air.
Josh, I have to give you credit. You did a better job covering and explaining what you were doing, and why, than anything I've ever seen on "This Old House", "Hometime", etc. And your lovely lady-wife did just as good a job in getting it on camera. Kudos to both of you! Also, give your queen (cat) a good scruffle from me. I just lost my old black & white girl, who loved to climb my ladders, whenever I put one up. I miss her "help"! Thanks for a great channel.
You two are the luckiest people to have eachother. Thank you for sharing a portion of your lives together. Truely inspiring.
Josh works with an amount of care not often seen in homesteading videos. Good job, guys.
This guys got a good woman helping like that ! You rarely see this these days .
Extremely interesting to watch a master wire this controller up. Love all the detail. I love this video. This is a truly talented man.

You are an animal lover Josh. I love how gently handle all the animals. Truly special.
You and your wife really work like a well-oiled machine. I am in awe watching you wire-up your solar power set-up. I am retired now but my wife and I worked together as subs for Home Depot. We also worked as you and your wife do. Fewer mistakes and a faster job.
I enjoy watching someone who takes pride in his work. Very nice work Josh.
Very satisfying to watch
It's so refreshing to see a true craftsman working and taking pride in his work ...
Your wiring/installation in this building was nothing short of commercial/industrial quality (compliment) :) Much props!
As long as there are people like you around, the world is in safe hands. Thank you, every time.
Excellent just excellent , you both could put a full construction squad to shame . A true example of total efficiency . Informative ,well prepared and hilarious to boot . Just how it should be . Carter is construction operator now designated plant operator . Top job little fella . Well done . Keep up the excellent work . Amazing .
Couldn't believe you pulled the wire without using snot for a lubricant. Thumbs up!
Super clean work. Awesome to see Josh in his element.
The outtakes at the end are always my favorite. The banter!

Watching an individual that has mastered his craft is an amazing experience!
Hope people realise as I mentioned before, you are a Mother with 4 kids (thats with Josh), look after them, look after Josh, look after farm animals, keep house clean, do kids schooling, help with house build, AND produce a video for us!! you truly are a SUPERMUM!!!, thats why I think Josh is always happy as hes fallen lucky finding You!!. Always fun in the videos, even though you guys are really pushed, with You Erin busy on the farm all day, & Josh working on a building site & travelling hours to get to work, & back then working on the house each night & weekends, maybe I have made you tired after reading this knowing what you both do, But we Love youre videos and want to go on the journey with you, Thanks for taking us along.
You can tell Josh is in his element with electrical installations!
You're an awesome pair ,love the way you involve the kids.
The longer videos don't bother me. Keep up the great work
The video was fine Erin. I like how you "put the buggy in reverse and drove backwards", Josh. Brilliant!
He sure is lucky, she's drop dead gorgeous, great personality and she's good with diy projects. She's 1 in a million.
As a retired electrician, you did it right. Good job.
You both were made for one another. True soul mates if I ever saw one. Excellent video Josh. Thanks for all the info. God's Greatest Blessings to you and your family.
This man is an artist with this electrical and wiring work.

I watched this with an electrician buddy of mine (we're old guys) who is pretty hard to please. He said you did an excellent job. That's high praise coming from him. I thank you for the enjoyment I get out of your vids and the planet thanks you for your choices. Keep them coming.
The way you handle the electrical equipment work it's easy to tell this isn't your first rodeo, Nice job!
Beautiful people , relationship and home/ property. I am now officially envious and maybe even a little jealous.!! Cherish and enjoy what you guy's have made together with your children it is beautiful!!!!.
every thing ya'll do is done with a pride for good workman / workwomanship, even the video. I am impressed with how you take the time to cut to the close up shots. You two are hard workers.
With all the commentary for a minute there I thought I had tuned into a PBS channel 😃 You guys are knocking it out of the park! 👍👍
Awesome video - once again - and your professional buggy driver will be able to tell all his mates, with pride, how he hauled that wire through there. Again, including the kids gives them skills and a sense of pride. You are great role models. Thanks for sharing.
All your videos are always just perfect, instructive and fun at the same time
Great vlog, admire your work and work ethic. The electrical work has me mesmerized, I just sat here with my mouth hanging open. You are a great pair. Thanks for sharing.
Energy free,, & working towards food free ,,smart,, hard working couple,, great kids because of wonderful parents.. missed the little one tonight,, she's a doll,, they all are!! aloha

Just the hilarious interactions between you guys alone , is worth the price of admission..
May you both be happy always and the kids too. God bless all of you.
You all are doing excellent work! I have worked a few trades in my lifetime (i am 66yrs) and I just wanted to show appreciation for the quality work you all are doing !! :) I wish you many years of enjoyment in a house you built for yourselves and your children of course!! :) Liked and Subbed !!
it so refreshing to see a fellow electrician doing the installation and end up with presentable final product instead of hodgepodge of wires and wire nuts all over the place like most amateurs end up with :)
Josh, Erin you guys are great. Josh is an EXCELLENT commercial Electrican and is meticulous at his work. I’m a journeyman mechanic and understand how he works! It’s great to see Erin working and Learning along side you!
That was awesome! Josh thanks for explaining everything as you went. I know that slows you down. It’s appreciated.

josh just wanted to drop a quick comment i've been a residential / commercial electrician for 20 years and just wanted to say: it is so nice to see someone else that takes pride in their work ! looks great cant wait to see for on the electrical side
Джош,видимо,ты можешь ВСЕ!!! Кстати,с праздником тебя! С днём строителя! Здоровья и благополучия тебе и твоим близким!
Totally enjoyed this. I vote for longer vlogs.
Only halfway through the video, but man, that is some beautiful work you guys are doing!
It was nice of the professional driver to let Josh drive the buggy back up to the house. Progressing well, soon you WILL be able to flip a switch in the house and the lights will go on. All quiet, no generator :D
The way Josh explained it as he showed it makes it look super easy to do. Thanks for going thru the wiring process like you did.
A friend of ours just called today to tell us her daughter got stung by a bee started having a reaction and by the time help got there she had passed, keep an epi pen with you at all times, you never know when someone will need it
Btw- awesome job guys! Josh you can tell you know what you are doing and in your element with wiring and electrical! Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
Can’t stop watching your videos. You guys are doing a great job together. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Lol...love the outtakes! Also fun to see the kids get involved with helping with the build.
I haven’t even watched it yet and I hit like. That’s the confidence I have in the two of you!! ❤️
Ok, you two are having way too much fun. Looking forward for tomorrow's video. Thanks for sharing. :)
I enjoy watching you work, everything has to be right and look right. My wife tells me when I do something and it's right but I don't like it for some reason then I redo it. I want things to be sq, plumb, level, perfect. That's the way I see you do everything and it's a joy to watch you work. Also you keep equipment, tools and so forth put up in the shed. You all take care of your property, and that's wonderful. Again I love to watch you and her work. Your do such a good job on everything you touch. Keep a going.
Long videos are great when there is important information in them like this. Don't worry about it being too long.
Can’t wait to go off Grid! Very Soon for me. Love your content guys thanks for sharing! 😄

@@clodu2008 As an old Master Electrician, the only thing that I saw that was a "violation" was pulling wire into an incomplete raceway. Which is helpfully located in the portion of the code titled "Silly regs that we've been known to ignore". But it's in there, somewhere. So, yeah, perfect. :) Not sure why he chose to use a 3 pole disconnect though. But if you have one laying around, and it's free, it's a perfect choice. :) But no ground rod? I'm not up on solar installations, solar power mostly being limited to clothes lines in my day, but this looks like it would need/benefit from a ground rod.

Possibly my favorite vid yet! As a former building inspector, I really appreciate Josh's attention to detail, and your camera work was just fine from this end! Namaste

what are you guys? electrical engineer? interior designer? architect? surveyor? plumber? civil engineer? Jack of all trades. Wish u guys best of luck staying off grid. i wish i have the guts like both of you. keep it up! Good work!
REALLY appreciate how you explained everything with the electrical!! It's the most intimidating to do anything DIY. I get a little scared just changing out a switch or plug, so seeing how to do it neatly and correctly (to code) was a pleasure!
I liked the longer video, and thought you guys did a great job explaining what was going on. So excited for you guys!
Good job Carter! Great video, as always.
Video of electrical connections etc. very well filmed Erin. Ex telecom engineer, so wires were my thing. Brilliant!! 👍🏻🏴
Loved the electrical explanations, as I'm technical but not in electricality (if that's a word..😃). Like how Josh cares about every detail in what he's proficient in. All the power to both if you, and hugs to the kids!
