I remember when a homeless person help him , they could not go by a sidewalk . He ask if he could help Al and he showed up first thing in the morning. Worked side by side. He just wanted a job! Al is a good man, and showed him gratitude. Not all people that are Homeless, some really need jobs. ! He and his wife were willing to work. Great Video. ❤️🍀

is it just me or do many of these people with massively overgrown, wilderness yards, just seem to be extremely lazy and won't take responsibility for themselves or to even clean their own yards ?? I can see a very physically capable person, who is NOT handicapped. I sure admire you to put your judgment aside and still help them, even without them offering to help in some way. You are a treasure of a man.

Now wait a cotton-pickin minute. You have NO IDEA of a person's ability to do yardwork, especially once it is outta control. Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, "let me take the speck out of your eye, when all the time there is ba plank in your own eye?" You hypocrite, first take the the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. I worked for a world famous artist, and often visited galleries to sell her art. On one trip to a gallery I knew quite well, I parked in a handicapped spot. Mind you, I had a blue handicapped parking placard. One of the business owners in this 2 story, multi-business building, began to loudly chastise me. He ( very loudly) made note of my seeming normal gait with no obvious physical handicap. Nevermind the State of Florida had issued this placard to me. I ignored him, and even made a stronger attempt to walk proudly and with grace and balance exuding from my appearance. He was VERY angry. My client was on the 1st floor and he was on the 2nd floor, came down, met me INSIDE my clients store and started in. I let him rant and carry on for as long as it took for him to just stop out of sheer fatigue. I then told him my little short story. I have had 7 hip surgeries, which put me in the hospital for 68 months. The blood in one of the surgeries was tainted, and I got Hep c, which had me hospitalized for a year as I underwent "combination therapy"( injections of Interferon and oral Ribivarin). A year later I was hit by a car which broke my neck, and I wore a "halo" for 6 months bolted to my skull. I then developed AFib, and had to have an ablation, with a pacemaker put in. Although I work very VERY hard to NOT walk like an invalid, I can only cover about 25 meters before I must sit down. Usually I have a wheeled walker with me if I must walk more than 20 meters or so, but this was a short walk. So, to the untrained eye, and from a distance, one could conclude I am in excellent health. However, the handicapped placard should be the end of any conversation related to the question of being handicapped or not. Today, at 72 years old, I need a cane to walk the 15 feet to my bathroom. I must sleep only on my back knees and head elevated. I take very large doses of morphine just to function. My heart issues combined with my hip issue prevents me from any meaningful workout, yet I do just that. Very painful. But I stay OUT of bed as a complete invalid. Moral? No placard, investigate. Registration displayed or placard made visible when was hidden prior to parking visible? End of questions regarding eligibility to park in reserved for handicapped parking. You have NO idea what a persons situation may be. It could be a veteran with war wounds , not obvious. Or PTSD Once a person has shown to be legitimate, stfu, a gth as fast as you can. That spot I parked in was perfect for me, as there was not a single other spot available. If there IS other parking available that isn't too far away, I avoid the handicapped parking as I don't like to be seen as handicapped, if I can help it. I live in Florida, and I would bet Al would NOT judge these people so harshly...if at all.

Al, you are blessing to the people you help. Sometimes it more about the kindness of a stranger than the yard and I think rhat is exactly what you show to the world. Yes, their yards are in bad shape but its more like purging something negative from their lives. It might be the restored faith in others more than the yard work alone. May God continue to bless your ministry of love for others.

Love this. When I lived in a house in Brooklyn the younger guys would help the elderly with yard cleaning and shoveling snow during the winter and putting the garbage out in the evening for sanitation the next morning. Every house kept their sidewalks clean throughout the year. They were small houses but everyone helped each other. In the 50’s 60’s and 70’s when I moved in. I raised three children in that home in the 80’s and 90’s. I love watching people helping one another.

Besides being too lazy to do their own yard work, they didn't seem appreciative and almost inconvenienced by the offer. Drugs will do that to people. It's probably why they left the house while Al worked on their yard. Probably cursing him for his kindness. I know I'm making judgements I shouldn't, but I was surprised of their lack of appreciation. To have that much yard work done could get pretty pricey. I'm guessing $500 or more. Al's a saint.

Too right. When she said what she said, have a look at her body language as she says it. Her hand is holding her kees and she has that gesture with her hand that if you cut the sound, you understand it all. @RenePatrique you're so right, the problem is their attitude. The comments are screaming bloody murder that we all don't know what they are going through, well "I don't care, they can do whatever" but now Imagine her in a wheel chair or with a stage 4 cancer saying the same thing ; obviously she can't do the job but with that statement (and that hand gesture 😄), honestly that handicapt woman has an attitude as she's been offered more than that monstrous yard job, she also got the safety that comes with it when she'll be chilling out in that gorgious couch. And let's go further ....... what if they are the actuel squatters ? I'd love reading the comment of the owner him/her self who's been hiring them, by the looks of it, since 2004. That would be such a laugh but I get carried away and I'm being judgemental and by the looks and the quantities of the comments it seems that passion took over that video. I love it. Al is just a man but what a Man ! 💯 I would have felt the same as you did ....... "I don't care, do whatever you want with your yard or their yard and that attitude of yours" because one day it will attract squatters who will take over your squat lady if you don't care about your or their yard. Now I'm going to do the old man's yard round the corner. And now, what do you think of my attitude ? Byyyyyye

I was an insurance adjuster at one time, usually the outside of a house is reflective of the inside of the house and their cars too.

I think that’s a rude thing to say, you have no idea of what people are going through, never judge a book by its cover, you never know one day it could be you , life happens

I truly love watching your videos. It's very rare I comment, but I just had to say what a kind and generous person you are. For years my husband and i did our yard together. It was therapeutic. In 2011, I was diagnosed with MS. My husband and son took on the responsibility. My husband passed 2 years ago from cancer. This past summer, I called around to get estimates. Out of the 5 calls, only one showed up. it was out of my budget. I've done the best I could. Wish there was someone like you nearby. God bless you for helping out and being an inspiration to others. Keep doing what you do.

Sometimes Al lets himself be taken advantage of. I think he is aware but feels it would be wrong to say something and also feels his kindness will awaken something good in people. I hope he is right. In any case he can sleep well knowing he is doing good.

He isn't being taken advantage of at all. KZread videos make $2-10k per million views and this video has 3 million views. That's somewhere between $6,000 and $30,000 for this work. It's amazing that he's found a way to get paid to do this work for people who likely wouldn't be able to afford to have it done otherwise, but don't feel bad for him. He's getting paid.

@@mosley3485 I agree completely, however its not clear to me that he is gaming some YT-Sympathy vs simply reaping an unexpected reward for doing something good that he would/has previously done. He is certainly making real YT$$ enough to pay a mortgage, car loan, new equipments, etc. But he is also putting in some real sweat effort, and people are getting significant work done that many can probably not afford. I'm cool with YT paying him to help others as its costing me very nothing except YT knows I watch his vids. YT ads are blocked with U-Block Origin extension in my browser.
