This is probably the only kdrama among the list of my top favorites that I find so hard to rewatch. Putting myself through hell once is enough. I have never bawled so many times in a single kdrama and I’ve watched a lot of tearjerker kdrama before this one but it still takes the cake so far. I cried for almost every character who died here. It was just one death after another among those people I was attached to.

To me He made the show it would not be half as good without him. I believe most of the women that watch the show fell in love with him. My heart felt like it was tearing apart when I saw him suffer so. I would love to see a part 2 but Lee Joon Gi and IU would definitely need to be the leads or it wouldn't work.

He carried this show. His acting is impeccable.. Everyone brought their A game, but his nuanced acting stood out. I looked forward to seeing how he would deliver each scene and was always bowled over. He sold his character well. He really drew us in and felt each scene with him. Hence, we were so moved with what happened to his character.

@@sundaskhan5174 She has his kid but hides the kids identity from him but he finds out after she dies from a broken heart while waiting for him and she goes back to her reality aka modern time. So the ending is that no one has a real happy ending.

The drama was very sad with its many deaths but what made it really hard for me was Hae Soo's change in character. Her whole persona changed. She was once an outspoken, bubbly, funny and innocent girl who made everyone happy but later became the opposite because of what she had to go through in the palace. 😭🤧It's heart breaking.

This movie made me cry so much 🥺...when u can't have or be with the person u love what can be more hurting...and even a cold person always has a soft spot it depends on the people around them ..

drama i want to rewatch but can't go through the same emotional trauma. still my favourite historical kdrama.

The first K- drama I've ever seen and I went deep into heartbreak. I love everything about this one. So beautiful story, I even made an edit of these too. Never cried so much.

7 years later, a 7 time rewatch and still recovering from the trauma this drama gave me. And you all who watched it know that cursed song that crushes you.

Iu and this drama and chemistry spark between them is soooooo🥰😍

This is the only kdrama in favorite kdrama list that I don't dare to watch it again... I m still recovering after watching it once.. 😭😭Each and every character deserves justice in this show

Even the edit draws out all my emotions and trauma from watching the drama 🥲🥲🥲🥲. Sometimes I wish I can forget it all just so I can watch it again. I can’t knowingly put myself through the emotional damage by rewatching. I would probably just start crying from ep 1 even before anything happens. I will never forgive the writers for the end of these two 💔💔💔💔💔

^If they could have met in her future life then the show the show would have been perfect 🙌🏻instead we got a sad ending of her looking at a painting 😭I read somewhere they filmed a scene of his future self giving her a tissue while looking at the painting….. but then decided not to use it. The director thought it would stay in peoples minds more, I guess he was right. There were a few fan made endings available on KZread clipped from here and there, which appease our battered souls for the ending the director went with.

Es una hermosa historia de amor, medieron ganas de ver eldrama completo pero lei en los comentarios que no termina bien y eso me da tristeza porque hacen un pareja encantadora. La actriz y el actor principales son guapisimos y hermosos y se ven muy bien juntos, tienen una excelente quimica y la historia es creible por sus excelentes actuaciones. Es tan buena su actuacion que si dan deseos de ver el drama completo, vere si me atrevo porque no me gustan los finales tristes.

One of the best k drama ever made PERIOD

This drama started my obsession with Asian dramas. I am hooked on them.

The cast here actually was perfect, from IU, to JOON GI every single character and the actors who played the roles did an amazing job here, don't understand why people think that IU was not a good choice for this role, cause she did an amazing job in my prospective, even though this drama gave me a huge TRAUMA, but still I enjoyed it, from it's acting to the story line and their osts... it was really good... but I still do wish if they could make another season so that at least we could move forward from this trauma... but either way, I loved it.

I'm still in shocked ..............I can't get over from dis series.........wen ever I see dis series I cried a lot......

Many commentators on various sites discuss this ending as "terrible" or "the worst" ending. Perhaps it's because I am much older than some of you or perhaps its simply because I have had a tough life filled with some of my own Shakespearean tragedies; none the less the ending to "Moon Lovers - Scarlet Heart" I felt & thought was exceptional. True love can only be achieved through genuine cost and sacrifice and freely; time nor distance cannot erase nor separate genuine love. These two are merely separated by the hour; not the reality or power of their love. With God or Love, "all things are possible". They are indeed destined to meet again for thus is the nature of true authentic love _Want to see a "Bad" ending watch "Goodbye My Princess" or a "Sad" ending; "The Wolf". The Wolf is however is exceptional._

This drama made me so sad. So many misunderstandings with the two at them at the end. I honestly wished they left the other ending in and made it a somewhat happy ending. The drama ending they left was just too damn sad. Why were they being sadists man?
