It was cool of y’all to share both of y’all weekend, the girls are getting so big. 🌈🙏🏾❤️

We don't have two yet, but when we visit with friends, we tell the children they have to wait their turn. When one is finished, they gently hand the toy over (trust.. they will attempt to shove it, lol) and we vocally commend them on their sharing skills and gentle hands. Sounds something like, "That was very kind of you to share the toy now that you're done playing with it! *Insert other child's name here* What do you say to *Insert sharing child's name here*?!". Lol. It takes getting used to, for sure. We've talked about letting Isla choose a couple toys that are her special toys that she doesn't have to share, and having her put them in her room when friends/family visits so she doesn't have to worry about someone playing with them. Sharing is such a tricky thing especially when it was just one child for a while. I was an only child for about ten years! I think what worked is that my parents remained consistent with encouraging sharing. However , there were things that I would have that my parents let me know that this is yours and it’s okay not to want to share this particular item. Just give her some grace and time and she’ll adjust perfectly! Great Vlog , cousins❤️❤️

As far as sharing goes yes you need to teach your children to share but then your child/children should also have that special item that doesn't have to be shared unless they want to but you have to explain to them why. The children are growing so much they are adorable.

We have two children 8 and 5 and they never want to share! It’s literally a lesson on sharing super frustrating because some naturally do it like our youngest loves sharing but the oldest forget it! So if it’s not natural for harp then hey lol don’t force it because she’s still going to not want to share. I mean enforcing the positive in it is cool and when she initiates herself even better!!! But I wouldn’t force it. Baby boo can have her separate toys and everyone’s happy 😂😩

About the sharing. You have to remember it was only Harper and everything was about her. So sharing is a big adjustment for her. There no set way to handle it. You have to be consistent with her.

Yes we just try to be consistent. If she is playing with a toy, I don’t force her to share that toy. It’s when Holland wants to play with a toy and all of a sudden Harper wants it too 🤣

You too have Little Mini-Me's zi am a Lesbian Greatgrandmother. Raised my 2 Children with a partner 2 girls 1 boy. We're both Mothers . I was the Mommy, they were all my children., still are. We found that they all came to me in matters concerning problems. In your head they have to truly be yours. The children will see the real fairness when it comes to issues. You both are new mothers, it's hard to combine, wth your baby you carried and delivered.Don't care what you two say. Been their done that, two Mommies doesn't work, practically. You two are going to have to decide what areas are yours. Jamila, I hear a tone in your voice, you are the newest Mother. Can't fool a 75year old Lesbian . Raised 3 children 3 female Grands, Girls are a MAJOR trip. Good Luck, don't let them come between you they will try as they figure out the dynamics.
