I just want to clarify for anyone reading the comments that we never said anyone owned the rights to lantern rite festivals. Also I don't think liking both genshin and wuwa has to be mutually exclusive. We like both games so we arent necessarily talking about genshin to bash on wuwa. We absolutely love wuwa and kuro games. But we also like genshin so of course we are going to talk about two games that we LOVE. If you are anti-genshin that much, just keep it to yourself. We just like playing and talking about games during our off days so some people really need to chill. IT'S A VIDEO GAME.

hehe.. i'm sure you are not one of them but there are many insane gi players everywhere to the point they think they are original.. and yes you are right.. lantern festival is a chinese custom.. if you watch many wuxia/ any xianxia it's always been there ever since the han dynasty.. and wuwa is kind of chinese lore heavy they even used the 4 guardian beasts(dragon,phoenix,tiger,turtle) as their concept.. again that is chinese thing.. ppl need to understand even their gacha system has their predecessor.. even the open world is copying zelda.. nothing in wuwa/ even gi is truly original.. so to be fair you don't need to care about similarity anymore.. well anyway good luck with whatever you are doing and have fun

Exactly, very well put. I grew up with Zelda and also love the series so you're totally right that Zelda has a very similar open world concept like with breath of the wild. Not an original thing for sure that has it's own history I'm not well versed in. Sometimes I get so into wuwa, I forget it's chinese bc I play with the English voices. Upsetting that the extreme of gamers have to ruin it for people just trying to have fun casually. Not everyone is hard-core and "perfect". We are just normies trying to make our hobby of playing games somewhat productive which is why we make content for fun. We work in healthcare so the problems that people come up with to make a big deal out of is baffling. Thanks for your comment

@@adrianandelizabeth for better or worse.. genshin community is so big and some are toxic that's because they have a very big fanbase as u know they are one of the top mobage we have right now.. especially with wuwa pressing on them they are being so toxic.. these fights has been going on ever since before wuwa is even out/ in their cbt.. they keep attacking seeing they copy gi bla2.. and many of wuwa players are formerly genshin player who think they are better and moving.. so there are kind of fierce competition going on.. my point is.. you don't need to bother yourself too much about these things i mean err they are especially sensitive ppl. as much as it's hard to say it they defend the game they love like they are protecting their mother country that's just how serious and dedicated they are no matter whether they are right or wrong.. so yea just do what you are doing and you don't need to mind them too much.. well have fun

Pretty sure the lantern rites festivals from both games are based on the mid autumn festival, celebrating the full moon. But yeah neither game own the rights to this festival lmao
