For anyone wondering why her hair is transparent, it's not a camera trick or a result of thin/damaged hair. Since she natrually has coils, when just "blown out" or stretched. Every strand isn't completely straight and lying against one another. Every individual strand is going its own way, with whatever is left of its natural pattern, creating gaps where light can shine through because they are not uniform. Afro textured hair tends to grow upward and outward. it's able to not be weighed down by gravity, so the hair isn't being pulled into itself or downward ethier. Edit : A bit clearer explanation.

Fun Fact: Babies can reflexively hold their breath when submerged in water and can hold their breath for a few minutes. We lose this ability as we grow older though. Edit: guess I should have worded this better since some goobers think I meant we lose the ability to hold our breath at all. What I meant is we lose the ability to hold our breath instinctively upon being submerged, as we tend to figure out how to do it consciously instead. This is why splashing water on someone usually wakes them up, your body needs you conscious so you can hold your breath and hopefully prevent drowning.

i used to work at a place that gave babies swim classes and they're super helpful stuff like teaching kids to not panic when theres water in their eyes, learning how to face the surface, and how to lie on their backs so they rise to the top and can breathe- also how to hold their breath. it helps them move and learn how to get to safety easier, and the older u get the more advanced the lessons become, it's really good for both the kids and parents (who usually are there for the baby sessions and use it as bonding time)

Where I'm from in the Southern US we have something like that called "survival swimming" which starts at six months old and is at various local public pools. My mother enrolled us all as soon as she could because our neighbors had a pool and she was worried about us falling in one day. The only issue was my sister had a growth disorder (she was born normal sized but by the time she started kindergarten she was smaller than an average 18 month old) so she looked way younger than six months when my mom tried to enroll her. I think my mom was the first person who needed a doctor's note there. To fully graduate the program, which I remember completing around six years old, you had to get yourself to a floating position and maintain it after they threw you in the pool wearing thick jeans and tennis shoes with the laces tied together. After my sister had been in the program for several years, my dad's favorite bonding activity at pools was to prank people by having her get a little ahead of him and jump in then let the other parents freak out about the "baby that fell in" without any flotation device. She'd start swimming to a ladder to go again and my Dad would act like they were the crazy ones for not realizing she was old enough to know how.

So many toddlers fall into bodies of water, (pool, lakes, ponds, etc) and end up dying because they can't swim. If anyone is wondering why babies can swim, it's called the "bradycardic response" and the "mammalian dive reflex." You can thank your distant ancestors for passing down this trait found in all mammals. The body will instinctively lower the heart rate, hold your breath, and try to float . The baby doesn't know he's doing it, his body is doing it on its own. As you get older, you replace your instincts with proper swimming technique.

@@guiguijol No. The babies don't know they are white. Anyone who does this with their newborn, no matter their race or color , will discover this instinct. But it ends within a year, so many people who don't have access to pools or inclination to play with their children in water may never experience it. Hence why many people of the United States persuasion are convinced that American Black people do not know how to swim because past discrimination included being banned from and punished for using local pools, and generations just never bothered afterward.

2:05 My mom tried to teach me swimming skills as an infant, but I just didn't instinctively hold my breath. I popped up coughing up water every time. I grew to love the water by the time I was nine, so it eventually worked out.

I wonder how rare it is to not know how to instinctively hold your breath? Feels pretty rare.

she obviously waited too long before getting you started, or didn't have a properly trained instructor who knew how to cue the breath holding. All babies have teh same instincts, there's no variation in that, only variations in the knowledge & competence of the adults involved in training the babies

looks like a cane corso, a breed that is required to have strict training. It's frustrating that people are so blinded by money that they can't just say.. No if you know the dog will be in bad hands. Yeah maybe it loved and cared for, but it's still not trained lol these Huge dogs need training / discipline or else they will think they're the alpha and you're the bitch
