While I can't dispute what you're saying, it's ironic that the machine only malfunctioned once she was alone, what a coincidence! I don't believe in coincidences, to me it's more than likely she stayed in the machine too long and couldn't get out due to her being in distress with nobody to come to her rescue.

Hypoxia is no joke, it can hit you before you even know what happened, literally within seconds you lose all cognitive abilities, it's more commonly heard of as a killer of pilots, condolence to the family.

@@rethablair6902 yes that's happened many times, just to name a few I forget the flight number but it was a commercial airliner with over 100 passengers, an Air Force F-16 came up next to it said all the windows are frosted over and none of the passengers or pilots were moving and it eventually ran out of gas and crashed killing everyone, same thing happened to Payne Stewart in his private jet him and five others died when they had a decompression another fighter jet same thing said they went up said the windows were all frosted over, also true until it ran out of gas and nosedived from 30,000 ft.... Sad.

The company should have went ahead and paid to have her placed in a cryogenic mortuary since she was already frozen, but apparently did not think about it, at least in the future she may have been ressucitated back to life if the technology availed.

I was going through the comments wondering if somebody else was thinking the same thing-like why did it happen to her while she was alone after work but it didn't happen to anybody else that had went in there, maybe she turned something on wrong or higher than it was supposed to be or something whiiiich would be weird since she worked there & I'm assuming knew how to run them.....🤔super puzzling....

Maybe they messed with it to “teach her a lesson”...not realizing what the outcome would be? Or maybe she’d seen something she wasn’t supposed to & this was the easiest way to explain her death? IDK..maybe I have a suspicious mind...but something seems off.

Those things are not supposed to be used unsupervised and that machine should monitor oxygen levels by default.

What it seems like was about a minute or less and she died so hopefully it was quick like that. Sad regardless since the machine was bad. Thanks again!!

So was nitrogen the "conductor" of heat, that Drew the heat to it the refrigerant? To displace air the refrigerant itself would have had to escape, I remember that from using Freon (R-12) years ago, that it was heavier than air , it could displace air, so you needed to use it in an open environment, if you were recharging the AC system on a car. She of course was found Frozen, but what caused her to lose consciousness was the lack of air, due to the refrigerant escaping and that would have been the fault within the AC system which refrigeration is it's just with different conductors used to lower the temperature deeper and deeper, depending on the application you're dealing with: a car AC system or a room versus a refrigerator to a deep freezer.

Death was ruled accidental. Chelsea Ake was the manager of the cryochamber salon office so it was easy for her to stay behind by herself. The coroners office stated that the nitrogen used to cool the chamber displaced oxygen in air which led to her death. She died as a result of "asphyxia" due to an oxygen-poor environment. Nitrogen used to cool the chamber displaced oxygen, sending levels from around 21% found in normal air to as low as 5%. Whole-body cryotherapy is offered as an alternative to cold-water immersion or ice packs, but machines are supposed to be used for no more than three minutes because temperatures can fall as low as minus 240 degrees Fahrenheit. Questions have been raised about the safety of the machines and how they are regulated.

I work in that plaza! I've always wondered if the cricket store is haunted now. My coworkers and I were tripping when we found out where it was. My work moved in the year after the accident occurred. I believe cricket took over fairly quickly after.

This was one of the strangest tragedies I have ever heard of. I don't understand what the benefits of a chamber session is for and how it may help someone, what ever it is for that is not the way to find out it's dangerous. My blessings and prayers are with her,her family and her boyfriend. Thank you for sharing this video. Keep safe and take care

Freezing to death is actually not a bad way to go. I nearly froze to death once. It sucks at first, with all the trembling and panic; but once the hypothermia sets in, you actually feel totally calm and at peace. The trembling and feeling cold goes away, replaced by utter tranquility.

Chilling story.

Holy nightmare! What a terrible way to go. The poor girl. How can a family comprehend the loss of a family member, this way. So senseless.

"The facts indicate that the fatality occurred as a result of employee misconduct or non-compliant activity. The employer cannot be cited and further investigation is not warranted." Two Rejuvenice locations in Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County were ordered closed Tuesday after authorities said the operation lacked local and state cosmetology licenses as well as state-mandated proof of worker compensation insurance.
