What an amazing find Adam. A real time capsule . You can see elderly people owned it by just looking at the trinkets and stable of the place . Walking frames and sticks are always left behind. Such a shame the family have not reclaimed the property back. Such a beautiful place to live if refurbished a bit 😍

Nice exploring! You missed the cat door, I bet they had a happy cat. With the music posters I bet in it’s day the house was full of music and the kitchen so many meals and happy conversations. Some houses it’s hard to vision it’s past human life but with this one I agree it had positive happy vibes. Nice work!

That was a really enjoyable explore. I know from experience how hard it is to clean out your parents' house. Too many memories and usually too much stuff. It's hard to know what to do with it all, and even harder to find the time to get it done. Might be the case with this home.

I know what you mean meg hun, if I was lucky enough to have that cottage, I'd take the walls down around the staircase and make the winding staircase a feature. Speaking of winding staircases, if you check out finders beepers history seekers (they're amazing urban explorers too) there is a video of a mansion in London, think it belonged to a sheik who had serious money, an he had a libary with a secret hidden door to a smaller room that had a winding metal staircase that led to a secret wine cellar very interesting

@@marckentzer1435 Thanks for the info! I wouldn't want that staircase opened up though( in the cottage that Adam showed us). There is something about an enclosed staircase. When you open up the staircase it loses something. My solution- have a grand, open winding main staircase and then some back, enclosed winding ones.

@@megfuchs9425 not sure where you are from, but I'm from the uk, an I completely understand what you mean about 'losing something' for example, people that have tons of money. They go buy a nice mansion and instead of turning it back to the original and having period features they literally modernise the hell out of it, make it all white bland and boring or use plaster boards to effectively cut rooms into 2 or cover up features. That's why people like Adam marks and matt and andy (finders beepers history seekers) keep the viewers entertained as they actually do focus on the smaller details which other people miss out on. I believe that little staircase would have been the servant's stairs, leading to their bedroom (which Adam described as an attic room). Even a reasonably modest farmhouse such as this would have required at least one servant to help around the house and dairy (which would have been women's work, making butter and cheese).

What a wonderful time capsule!!! I get the vibes of a wonderful couple with a child, who grew up & came home & stayed from time to time with her parents! I feel that her mom passed first & the husband basically left everything intact & pristine as it was when she was living! I feel that in the end of his life, he could no longer get up the stairs & was forced to make his bed downstairs, as evident by the bed in the downstairs room! I have never figured out why houses from other countries, have low doorways & ceilings…I didn’t think that their people were shorter than in the United States!?! I absolutely loved the stonework of the exterior of the buildings & the beautiful fireplaces!!! The property was lovely!!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with us Adam! @@daizyalexadraki3448 judging by your comment I would say your not british, as in Britain its called banter.........its just having a bit of humour and joking around with each other, as for the guy with the camera he is called matt, the bald one is called Andy and they can both give it as good as they take it, they never ever say anything really nasty or horrible to each other. It's just having a laugh and joking with each other as they are the best of friends and wouldn't ever do anything to hurt or damage the friendship. For example yeah matt might slag andy off but then andy gives quick witted comebacks. Now imagine a video where none of that happened at all, the video would appear plain boring and lifeless, so sometimes it's best to have a laugh in life because life can be pretty depressing otherwise.

Lovely looking place from outside but a bit overcrowded by farm buildings. Could be refurbished and made into a nice quirky family home. I suspect that the final last occupant was an old chap who went into a care home, hence house not sold yet, bed downstairs, mobility issues, all male clothes taken with him while deceased wife's clothes remain. Nice willow pattern plates in kitchen, I'd love to have those.

I explored an old general store/pharmacy/gas station, I took an old jar home with me, I sat it in the kitchen and went to bed the next morning I got and it was gone I never found it I have know idea where it went, I never took anything from an abandoned home again. I just remembered this from my past because I probably would have taken that Chanel no.5 but I know now that belonged to someone and they might come and get it back. Thank you Adam

It still amazes me how the beautiful old homes just being left to rot when it could be renovated and poor homeless people could live there and do upkeep work. So sad to see it abandoned!!!!

Amazing all these homes are left behind. Sure the families pick through heirlooms. I would think emotions frozen time.

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that these homes are just left. Looks like the occupant struggled with the upkeep of the house before they passed. Odd little spiral staircase!
