Opeyemi is dealing with Hypersexuality Trauma. Suffering sexual abuse at a young age lights up neural pathways in the person’s brain which are linked to sexual arousal. This can be damaging because children have not developed the structure to properly process this type of arousal. Hypersexuality, also known as compulsive sexual behavior disorder, is characterized by an obsessive fixation on sexual fantasies, urges, or behaviors that cannot be controlled. This can lead to multiple sexual partners, problematic sexual behavior, and sexual addiction. She will benefit from Counseling . God bless

U are so correct on this one. Nd some of them end up losing their minds " they become suicidal" r even end up doing the same thing they experienced.on kids also, they become predators themselves...!! It's so sad

Thank God for all this kind of program honestly if you get to hear the mother's side of the story you will also pity her or not blame her so much. She needs to run full course of investigations, HIV, hep B and C, syphilis, gonorrhea etc. I really feel for her. I hope she is rehabilitated. Some people doesn't deserve to be parents.

I'm glad that people are speaking out and seeking help. I would advise that the voice of the interviewee be altered so that they won't be recognised. From my perspective, even if this lady were someone I know, censoring her face wouldn't be enough; I would still vividly recognise her unless she agreed to leave her voice untouched.

Her Mother has failed woefully, she should be arrested.

Opeyemi, my heart goes out to you. You experienced a lot of adverse childhood experiences, lingering trauma even into adulthood. I am so sorry everyone you came into contact with failed you, they took advantage of you repeatedly and abused their own position of trust and responsibility. None of what happened to you is your fault, please don't blame yourself. There are two things you need, therapy and prayers. Talking on this show is a first step but there is still room for lots of psychological healing because, there will be triggers rearing their head as you move on in life. I will not say your mum failed you, because the truth is you can't give what you don't have, we don't know what her upbringing was like too, did she also experience similar traumatic experiences that made it unable for her to parent well? Did her own experiences make her a dysfunctional adult hence why she is emotionally available for you ? We just don't know. There is a lot to unpack in your story hence why I said therapy and prayers. The lord will rewrite your story my dear. Your story brought me to tears, I am so sad for you. Big hugs

I assure you this phase of your life will end and a new dawn will come to you. The role of the church in your life is disheartening really. I have come to realize the difference between church and salvation. Salvation is accepting Jesus as Lord and personal Savior while church is gathering of saved people worshiping & growing in faith together in preparation for heavenly home/rapture. Many in church today don't even know what church stands for nor Christ the husband of the church. God will give you a turn around for the better.
