Child birth is hard work for the body. Though Mom is exhausted, she puts the needs of her newborn baby first. The physical and emotional stress associated often lead to postpartum depression.1 out of every 7 new moms experience some form of postpartum depression.
Seeking professional help is the first and foremost thing to do. Speak to your doctor and seek guidance. Secondly, being in a healthy environment, receiving social and emotional support from people who are near and dear can help you better cope with problems on your own. Making life style changes, reintroducing exercise, quality time for oneself helps too. You have a body, a heart and an intelligence, you must give every aspect of your being, its right.
