This is a very enlightened, albeit, unpopular perspective. I've been using the Canon C100 for several years. By current standards that camera as is old as the pyramids but, as you said, it gets the job done. I like the fact that I've had enough time with it to understand it very well which means I can get a better quality image out of it and I know just how to operate it in different environments. So I couldn't agree with you more, work on the craft rather than chasing the new thing.
