Shawn is his own biggest critic. No matter if the comments are positive or negative, he'll watch this until he's picked out all the mistakes to make his next performance 100 times better. He's been working non-stop for two years and he was sick, yet he still showed up and gave it his best, whereas 99% of celebrities cancel events when their feet hurt. So no, rudeness and jealousy concealed as "constructive criticism" won't make anyone feel better. Especially when he reads that because of ONE performance, some people consider him a bad vocalist and shitty musician. Shawn Mendes is incredibly talented. If I dare say so myself, the Frank Sinatra of our generation. And people, including fans, will learn to respect him one day. Mark my words.

There aren’t too many artists out there that start out genuine and remain that way as their career progresses. Mendez is one of the rare few and I love that about him.

He's so talented... Even with his voice cracks he's so good live than tons of other artists out there!!

How could anyone hate Shawn Mendes? He is amazing!!! The haters shouldn't even bother to show up and put a dislike on his videos because why would you bother to look up something or someone you don't like just to dislike their video? Its sad. Great Job Shawn!! I think you should have won.

This song has a special place in my heart. I was born and brought up in a Catholic family in Texas and my boyfriend was born and brought up in a strict Hindu family back in India. He moved to the states for college. We met in class and instantly fell for each other. The difference in our races created many obstacles for us. Even our parents stood between us because of the religious differences.
