The Basketball Wives star and executive producer said "yes" to a proposal from her boyfriend, Pastor Keion Henderson, on Nov. 11 after nearly two years of dating.
The Basketball Wives star and executive producer, 46, said "yes" to a proposal from her boyfriend, Pastor Keion Henderson, on Nov. 11 after nearly two years of dating, her rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.
"This was one of the most magical and special days of my life, being someone that had never officially been proposed to - like no down on one knee and asked 'will you marry me' moment," Shaunie says in a statement to PEOPLE. "And honestly I'm the person that thought I would never in my lifetime experience a love like this. Everything about that night was incredibly amazing."
She continues, "I wouldn't change a single thing. As a matter of fact, I wish I could experience it over and over again. Keion is an extraordinary man of God. He's wise, he's supportive, he's so loving and attentive. He loves me and my children in a way that has changed my life and my heart. He makes me want to be better every day. And I pray that I do the same for him. This love is FOREVER and I'm honored and overjoyed to do forever with him."
In a statement of his own, Henderson tells PEOPLE: "I've never been more loved than I am right now."
"I've never met a more supportive person in my life. There is an inseparable connection that is undeniable between Shaunie and I," he says. "I am unwilling to let anyone else occupy her space. The love and respect we share for each other contributes to our ever evolving humility and growth. Which ultimately makes us more like God. Who wouldn't want a spouse that makes you more like The Creator? She simply brings out the best in me, and wants the best for me. Any love that accomplishes all of that naturally is worth pursuing. Our engagement is the beginning of a new day."
The couple got engaged on a tropical island at 11:11 p.m. The 11/11 motif has been "a meaningful symbolism and point of connection" for Shaunie and Henderson, her rep says.
It "has played a significant role throughout their relationship since the day they met as they call, text or pray together daily at that time each day without fail. Thus it became the perfect day to cement their love."
Henderson proposed with a custom 4.22-karat radiant-cut diamond ring with an 18-karat white gold band.
Following the engagement, the couple enjoyed a beautiful display of fireworks.

Shaunie. You deserve to be loved. I believe she waited as long because of her kid's. Not having to explain all the past things between her and their dad. Shaquille was a good provider, but also he was a man of infidelity. She was wounded, and she still gracefully raised her kid's in a Godfearing way. Lord continue to grace this humble, Jewel. I'm all the way here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada smiling from ear to ear because I'm happy for Pastor Keion. I only know him from his preaching and he's truly anointed. I've shared his sermons with family and friends. I've watched his church grow and he is truly blessed. I was sad that his marriage ended and now I'm happy that he once again has found happiness with someone. Congratulations to both of you and continue to walk with God. You live in a bubble but you found out at the exact same time as everyone on this stream. It’s because their relationship was kept private. Where all just finding out Sherlock. But what people failed to realize or just might not even care about. Shaunie was single for all those years due to alimony. When receiving you can not have a live in partner nor get married. And did you notice she did not say yes !! And she want say yes nor will she be getting married. She’s not cutting out her alimony while it’s still in order and Shack is tied to most if not all of her businesses.

I hope so to. That is the one thing that has been a burden on my heart to pray for her...Is that she drops that show, however, I read the other day that they are making a reality show of their engagement/wedding. Not a good look at all. Those reality shows have been a curse for marriages. I was praying that his influence along with God, would pull her heart away from that situation. My mama use to say, u never know people until u know them, ie. In who they are. Before any of us that puts God first in our life, should always ask him to take the the covers off a person, especially one that u seek to spend the rest of your life with. Only God can change people, I am hoping that he will change her, he gives us all free will. Unless we go to him in prayer and ask for his help to remove any negativity from our lives that would be detrimental to our future with him, and someone we want to have a future with.
