Lying Monsignor. Said the priest was ill,,,,lie. Then he told them it wasn’t decided whether the priest was coming back or not. He knows where he is going after his “time out” He is getting a promotion at another perish. Sheeesh!

I believe the present state of the church is a direct result of its unwillingness to address this issue. It is truly heartbreaking to me to see the decline of the institution that I grew up in and which saved my life fall. Sins have long shadows. We all must pay for our sins and the church is no exception.

@@kayhathaway6956 I just watched a great sermon by Joseph Prince on how Christ Condemned Sin (singular) - the sin in my flesh - but if I give way to this and transgress - these will be sins (plural) and they are all forgiven. It is just I have to RECEIVE this and then I can be healed. It seems most people do not know God loves them and that they are forgiven.

The priest that kept the files hidden should have also been sent to prison.

Secret sins destroy lives, but truth brings forth healing, freedom, deliverance and peace. Jesus said “I am the way the truth and the life…, and he came to “set the captives free…”

This is precisely why there was a pedophile scandal in the Roman Catholic Church...it's everywhere, but when it happens, we need to hit hard and hold those accountable. Too many children are damaged as when I grew up, everyone turned their heads and ignored what happened...I have scars and nightmares to this day due to the abuse I suffered under an adult male while everyone looked away.

I'm mostly healed now, but from time to time it comes up in my dreams....that type of abuse lasts a lifetime. I'm proof you can break the cycle as I didn't abuse my children or grandchildren and worked hard to keep them safe.

I’m so very sorry you went through this. My daughter was molested at a very young age and I never knew until she was an adult! I was devastated. She went through a hellish life. We’ve just recently started talking on a regular basis. Why didn’t I know 🥲🙏🙏🙏

All human groups that are very hierarchical have to been screened. Having too much power in a few hands usually leads to abuse of all sorts.

The Holy Bible writes that we are NOT to call anyone on earth Father, as God is the only Father. And what are the words that are covered up by the stupid ads that are for other movies???
