Given that Napoleon served originally in the artillery I think it's a safe bet the French had guns :)

Yep, though based on history Sharpe is essentially a traditional story of a glorious hero that is honourable in battle gets the girl... same as every benard cornwell book, but hell there still a great read.

That right. My guess? Price is actually a Time Lord, with each Regeneration, becoming tougher and better at fighting Britain's enemies. That would also explain the presence of the various Captain Prices in the Call of Duty games, it's all the same person through multiple Regenerations. ...if nothing else, it's a gentler explanation than "the writers of the show forgot their own continuity."

Jamie Ngo I love the moment when his cavalry are riding away and he is chasing them, cursing them and trying to get them to com back. I can just imagine one of them just shouting back for him to sod off and go away.

true, the British weren't the only ones, though the British were in direct combat with Napoleon's forces longer than the other groups during the battle (thus they glorify themselves, whether right or not) I'm not sure if the accuracy with the Dutch is like. They only feature the prince and his own guard, not the whole force, so I'm not sure.

After so many disasters, whod have thought a British soldier like Sharpe would find his one true love with a French girl? Shes such a beautiful woman though. Jane sort of had good looks, such as a nice chest and all that but no beauty within herself as Sharpe says Good to see he finaly found true love after all the disasters. certainly better than any time before for the french people, and certainly some of the best times till modern times

in the books cornwell gives credit where it is deserved and admits the brits would have been slaugtered if not for the prussians

I think that was Robert Knowles. Hard to remember since most of his lieutenants got killed. I think Price survives in the book.

If Napolean had crushed the allied armies at waterloo how different could history have become? Would have been an easier fight if Wellington's penisular veterans hadn't been sent off to the America's.

@definnitelymaybe This is not based on historical litterature, it's based on novels which are fictional and made for British public. They present this battle as a 100% British victory and the Dutch like cowards and they completely forget the KGL, the Nassauers, the Brunswickians and the Prussians. Don't forget that 88% of the coalised army were NOT British.
