My mom and dad were at this house in the mid-sixties with Sharon and Jay. Sharon and my mom went to high school together in Richland, WA, and then met up later when my mom moved to Santa Monica. She said the house had a button in the kitchen that started a rain machine on the windows. She later met up with Sharon and Jay in Hawaii and hung out at Steve McQueens house near Diamond Head. I just sent video to her for comment. She's 83 and going strong.

If your mother could possibly identify some of the people here, that would be great. Some have been identified -- Sheila Wells, Fred Bier, possibly Barbara Bouchet, on the swing, and club owner Brian Morris walking around with Sharon around the pool, but others are not known for certain.

I found DiMaria's doco on his uncle Jay very interesting and surprisingly good, and I know this subject well. He covered Jay's more colourful activities like drugs but tactfully, and most of all he had Jay's lawyer from that time ( Mr Greenwald, I think was his name) who had drawn up divorce documents for Sharon to activate against Polanski. Very interesting. I'm sure Polanski and Deb Tate strongly disapproved of this documentary, if they even watched it, but I thought it was very well done. And I agree about the baby being Jay's, but we never know, unless one of Sharon's still living friends confirms it, or Polanski, which I wouldn't expect.

I think it was agreed in court that all the stab wounds she inflicted on Rosemary LaBianca were post-mortem, so she didn't actually kill someone. Yes, she was a witness, an accomplice and an aider and abetter, and brainwashed under heavy peer-pressure. Make no mistake, I am not defending what she did, or finding excuses, it was WRONG. But somebody who didn't kill cannot legally receive a murder sentence. That simple. Even Vincent Bugliosi, the State Prosecutor, supported, btw, that Susan Atkins be released when she was dying and bedridden.

Wonder would roman have stoodup for his wife. After all jay was told by sharon about the baby before roman. Jay wore sharon Ring on a chain around his neck. Jay loved sharon. What a couple those two would have being if they had not being murdered. Sharon had left roman. He wasnt a kind guy to sharon. Jay wasnt trusted by roman so he had his friend and his. My family lived in California when this murder happened. I was only five at the time. Of course my parents kept this kinda stuff away from me and my siblings. Later in life I would find out that my Dad heard the actual 911 call via his police scanner. He said the Officer that got to the home first was outta his mind with shock and dismay. He told the 911 dispatcher that the home looked like a slaughterhouse. He was out of breath and almost in tears. My Father always wished he’d have recorded the call. But, who was to know how notorious this murder would be. The whole thing is just so disturbing.

I have a hunch that even with audio, whatever they were saying would bore all but the most dedicated. Still, I myself must be a little on the weird side myself wondering about many of the OBJECTS in this video and their status....For example that "sweater" Sharon was wearing....What happened to it? (Probably eventually got donated to some second hand store, and is now buried in some landfill....Prior perhaps to being a "rag" used to clean up messes??) Or does it still exist somewhere???? Ditto with some of the other people's clothes for that matter, not to mention a WATCH I saw on someone's wrist. I even wonder such thoughts about the rocking bench with the canopy....Where was it purchased? Where is it now? (Probably deep in a landfill itself---totally unrecognizable as the object it once was!) I know....I'm kinda of weird thinking such thoughts and being obsessed with the "wonder" behind them!🤣🤣😶

@Vinny L But you know I can utterly believe it. I am a woman and I think like one. Polanski was never physically attractive but Jay Sebring was. He also had a warm and affectionate seeming persona which is also totally lacking in Polanski. Every photo I've seen of him and Sharon Tate looks completely staged. Which it was of course. What better way to promote two stars on the periphery than to have them 'marry' and increase the image many times over? Sharon Tate was a young and almost shy seeming girl, eager to please her family and no doubt the studios as well, so of course she'd do as they said. How many times in Hollywood have people married for appearances sake and their careers do you think?

The song Arizona by Mark Lindsey is no coincidence. He lived in the house on Ciello Drive with Terry Melcher before Roman and Sharon moved in. We all know about Melcher turning down the offer to produce Manson and his music, which infuriated Charlie. Lindsey told a story about arriving home to find Manson in the kitchen and giving Mark Lindsey attitude. Mark came out of the kitchen and asked "who's the short guy in the kitchen?" He was told "oh thats Charlie." Creepy to think of Manson being in that house before the murders. Tarantino uses a lot of Mark Lindsey/Paul Revere and the Raiders music and references in the movie.

Fuori e dentro di me.
