Used to teach scuba diving in 1991-92 in Sharm El Sheikh when, in my opinion, it was still a paradise but not as close as early 80's... Ras Um Sid was fantastic as well as Thomas Reef and Jackson reef in the straight of Tyran, shark & Yolanda reef in Ras Mohammed, Jack fish alley, Sodfa andTower on a single dive... Already there were too many dive boats so, i can not imagine how it is right now??? Loved as well Hurghada especially lovely dive sites (at the time) such as Shaab Abu Ramada and Giftun, Careless reef was simply amazing and Shaab Abu Nuhas had amazing wrecks and pristine reefs... i used to dive during my free time in Dahab (The Canyon and the Blue hole)... Egypt was my paradise.

Don't worry, every place in Egypt is Muslim friendly ‏If you want places with water parks and family-friendly, I recommend Hurghada or Sharm El-Sheikh, and possibly Marsa Alam, but it is further away. ‏I can suggest you the trips that I took in Sharm El-Sheikh and it was nice or Hurghada trips if you want

Just come back from Sharm, we stayed in Jaz mirabel beach, value and quality 5* what a place for winter sun, beats the canaries hands down

Eliat Isreal is just north and it is a very nice spot also

I think Xperience Beach Resort ⛱ Hotel should also be considered among the best in the area due to its location and picturesque views.

Hmmmm This video is very helpful I have stayed in both Sharm and Hurgharda several times , but this time I'm taking my 80 year old mum . I'm not scared off like many British tourists because I know how safe Sharm is and also how much the people suffer when tourists do not go to Sharm . Here's my problem . I want great coral reefs but I also want an accessible beach , but on top of this I want really great food , and it seems that the top end hotels are not the ones by the coral reefs . I was looking and the Arabian beach sunrise as it seemed to have a good coral reef but then the reviews of the food were pretty bad . I have stayed at the X pertinence sea breeze for example , and the corals were the best part of my holiday but I have also stayed at th stein burger AlDau in Hurgharda and the a la carte and food were great , I want both . What's your recommendation ?

Thankyou for this insight, we are Looking to take the family here, always wanted to visit Egypt, but for years was not given the ideal advise, we have done many European locations, for the last 6 years have been doing Orlando, but have not done an all inclusive holiday for 8 yrs and would like to experience the climate, and service given. With two teenage girls and a wife that loves to sit around the pool and bar areas what hotel or location would you look to concentrate on please, the girls love the water, and can get bored. Myself I just love the whole experience, but require, clean efficient, safe feeling environment for a hard earned vacation. 🙏🏽👍🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Just for the other British people reading this . Egypt is hands down better value than the Canary Islands which I also frequent for winter sun. You get great service amazing beaches and the people are so nice . The price is often less than half of what you'd pay in the Canary Islands . The coral reefs in Sharm re just amazing.

Thank you for this video. I used it to learn about the areas and picked sunrise montemare for my trip in june 2022. Amazing resort, however was disappointed with their food. I'm looking to go again in May 2023 and would like the same look and feel (especially for the beach) but with better food, any suggestions? Thank you

Great video, just one tip - I learned this the hard way - Never visit sharm in peak summer months unless you are willing to tolerate temps of 46ºC - 50ºC - it's unbearable and the ocean feels more like a sauna. I stayed at the Marriott in July, the a/c could not keep up with the heat and made strange clanking noises 24/7.

​@@frizzyrascal1493doesn't negate the UV which I imagine is mental in Egypt from may through to September. Wandered through London in mid 30 heat even with strong gusts all day in June last year and it still was hard going in it despite many streets feeling like a wind tunnel, a wind or strong breeze can only negate so much.

Is the sea as beautiful as you showed in the first area? And second, if you had to choose between Hurgharda and Sharm regarding the sea and also resorts, what would you choose? Thank you! Hi Enrico, imo the sea in the first area is better than the sea in Rixos area. I live in Sharm, which probably tells you which one I prefer, but Hurgada is also great so at the end is really about personal preference .

What do you think about Sunrise Arabian beach in Sharks bay?

Excellent video. However we booked Renaissance resort based on one of your videos and I think we may have to reconsider that arrangement due to this video. We really want to enjoy family and couples time in sharm el sheikh so we hope to make the right choice of hotel in the area. Meanwhile do you suggest we rent a car to move around?

I have a logistic question; do you know if there's any long distance buses servicing between Taba to Sharm/Hargada? I plan to visit from Amman all the way south to Aqaba, then hopefully crossing to Eilat, Israel then to Taba to continue my Egypt adventure. How hot will July/Aug be? thanks.

Hey buddy, very good video. I went sharm in 2013 and had a good time. Since then a lot has happened in Egypt and flights from uk were banned for a bit. I guess my question is, is it safe to come back to sharm and is it as good as It was back in the days?

Both great hotel, Rixos more active, Four Seasons more classy and romantic

I've been to Sharm a few times, but it's over rated and most of the hotels offer bad quality food and services at premium prices. That being said, it's ok around the Naama bay area.

Egyptian citizens cannot be denied entry into Egypt even if using expired documents so you could always use a Canadian passport that is valid to get on a flight to Egypt and then you can present expired IDs to be allowed into the country to renew them
