The fact Eric is still so dedicated to his job and helping sharks is beautiful. I cried a little because I’ve never seen someone care so much about an animal, especially ones as feared as sharks. He really loves these animals.

Hammerheads were the first shark I was familiar with. As a 6 yr old, an uncle and aunt took me to Galveston Beach. We were walking and I saw something on the beach and started working my legs to get there to see it. Turned out to be a juvenile hammerhead. My uncle, a former linebacker for Texas A&M, caught up to me and wouldn't let me touch it. I was pretty sure it was dead, but they weren't changing their mind. Pooh!

2:14:00 okay so as this guy is saying this.- that we have to figure out how to "allow" eco tourism to be able to continue but not hurt the whale shark population or affect the sharks natural feeding and mating areas. They had to wait (the scientists) had to wait until AFTER the tourist boats were done getting their moneys worth before the scientists could come in and do their work... That right there doesn't make sense they allow the money driven boats to bother and come close to the sharks before they let the scientists close to them sharks to do the work needed to help keep the species alive.... it's all about the money as always they could care less about the animals

I DONT AGREE WITH KEEPING WHALE SHARKS IN A SMALL SPACE LIKE THAT... YOU CAN ALWAYS MAKE SOMETHING BETTER, PERHAPS SOMEWHERE ON THE SHORE IN THE NATURAL WATER. THEY HAVE DONT JUST THAT IN THE PHILIPPINES NO TANK NO CAGE NO NETS AND THE WHALE SHARKS ARE THERE ALL YEAR ROUND BECAUSE THE PEOPLE HERE FEED THEM.

The Malibu artist brought it to attention recently that Guadalupe sharks are really in danger now because of outlawing cage diving. The cage divers kept away the shark fishermen. There's much less protection for them now. It's sad because the area is so important for the great whites. It could be their birthing ground.

Yea, I feel like it isn't a good idea to pull up in a boat, Rev the engine up to let the sharks know you're there with food.....I'm far from being expert, but even I k know better than feeding a bear at a picnic table. What if a boat pulls up and they don't have a bucket full of chum for the sharks?
