Sharks are right from a business point of view. Scalability will be higher if average order value comes down in 500-800 Rs range
It was obvious right from the beginning that no one would invest in this business. Moreover, they charge 1650 for this product and these companies usually pay peanuts to the freelancers who create these products.

This books can easily be replicated by book brands like sundaram and classmate. The product is niche and there are lot of competitors, since the price is kept high, they will be able to target only high middle class and rich people who can afford it making the market size too low and non-investable.

I've seen this brand 1000 times on my feed and I love their products. They had a USP which is their creativity and quality. people will keep buying from them. Journaling is very popular and maximum gen z is into it. The aesthetic and experience is definitely what people are looking for. They should've invested in this brand.
I am a Gen Z, and I love to write more than iPAD or iPhone. I even own a Samsung S23 Uktra because of stylus, I can have the feel of writing.
When A person gat bored digitally they look for these kind of products.❤
Very true writing is very important.
What is stated correct is the price point ia high, a middle class child would never buy such journals or anything, it would be easier to buy books, and diaries, journals, from already established brands like sundaram and such but what sharks missed here is that gen z do write a lot, they have pivoted to journaling, creativity, writing, and lots of teen adults do take therapies where journaling is commonly recommended. Sharks you need to know the facts before commenting
He is right, i agree with the entrepreneur, I am not born a genz but bcoz i know about this world now, i would also love to write in books rather than digitally writing
We have started writing letters, snail mail. Very enjoyable.
I am a Genz and I don't like making assumptions about me and building things for me and around me
Book shops band ho gayi hai ye..ye baat toh sahi hai! Even magazines like "Chandamama", "Nandan", "Nanhe Samrat", "Balhans" etc because nowadays children like to watch things in Mobile rather than reading such magazines! Just board a train or bus to see the difference. Earlier it used to be magazines in Children's hands nowadays all have mobiles. Even there are not many bookstands with children magazines on railway and bus stations. They say that there are no buyers!!! Wish...the trend of children magazines could be there once again😢

It depends how you want to raise your kids my kid always carry books ,drawing book colours, pen ,pencil, scale etc and all kinds of stickers when ever we go out for dinners, partiesand vacations..she loves to draw, doodling, observe things and she is only 8,. . It was not easy at first but with continue denying of using mobile phone she is not into it now, mobile rarely maybe once or twice in 6 months she uses, she loves to watch cartoons only on TV..and I feel proud to say she Don't know how to operate mobile phone,, she can dial for calling purpose (in case of emergency) she uses computer ,laptop for study purpose only.

I see them a lot on ig, i love such stationary items but quite expensive though
Very good product. I also use it for myself and i have gifted to my students also as a professor . Gen z loves cool things ❤
I just switched to a digital planner. Because I can carry it with my smartphone. I can access it from anywhere.
Nice episode.
Sharks behaving same when it comes to Books in last season and same goes with the Journals... they seemed to be not aligned with the youth mentality or some habits that are old school and continue to be do so. Also, Aman is such a joker. Two of the biggest bookshop of Khan Market still exist in all its glory. Faqir Chand is still the popular spot and Bahri Sons has spread the business all the way to Kolkata and various corners of Delhi. I believe under the disguise of the digitalization the "bro" don't wanna accept the fact.
I think first company from stationary category on shark tank
There is company ‘the june shop’ which makes amazing journals
Pricing is high & the genz who can afford this at this cost will also prefer writing on ipad than this. They can buy 1\2 but won’t be repeat customer
Namita should directly said "I am out" instead of giving some "faltu" ke reasons.😁😁
Its not about the market its about the price and variety of products if these things are carried out then this business can compete doms and classmate
Aman's personality, voice and funny behaviour is like......karan in kundali bhagya ❤❤❤❤ Jo jo agree h like kro
The price point is painful I bought a planner for 1700 last yr & later I saw much better temples in canva so I just started writing in a blank page the particular category things I want so it's literally niche market
Umpire:-Not out Namita:-12:13 Im out 😊
Its a good brand but super expensive.. And Namita is spot on here with those problems she spotted
I feel that i am learning bargaining skills from here...like sharks everytime comments on high pricing pf products 😅😃
Right Right Right......
I love writing but on cheap or 100rs notebook not on notebooks as expensive as these.
I'm a 1990s kid and I miss the era of books,
I agree with these pitchersssss
Writing is very important for our mind
Aman bhai lagta boat se bahar h nhi utre kbhi
We have nice stationery small business people like them in India but they need to be scaled to become a good brand like TYPO etc . International stationery brands are even more expensive .
