True, we have studied various types of material and structural design complexity in our syllabus, along with numerous codal provisions. However, after laying 5km of road, these individuals are claiming to possess groundbreaking technology that nobody has even considered yet. 🥴

I think GRIDMATS have wonderful futures in sustainable road construction in India. Actually any new products in the road or infrastructure sector needs pilot projects and further certification or approvals from CRRI, MoRTH etc. and takes considerable time, effort and trials. Evolution/ R&D of any new building material products need proper understanding of such products and turning it into a business prospective needs a positive vision as a qualification to invest in such an industry. Since it's not a regular product like FMCG, understanding such innovative products is difficult for Sharks also. I think in the coming time this innovation could be useful like geotextiles and geogrids in road construction. All the best to the GRIDMATS team.

I'm a civil engineer and I can confirm that before going into the real big govt project they have to get the compliance from the IRC & CRRI codal provisions and certification. There are a lot of IS CODE codal provisions for various types of roads and highways so for getting the certificate there is a need to test the material in each condition according to code and for that they need alot of time and money. Wise decision by the Sharks

I agree there are lot of parameters to be considered before calculating the valuation but these sharks has a very high prejudice against valuations over 100 crores. First listen to them and after that you obviously have your own discretion to make decisions. Prejudice even before listening to the entrepreneur will lead to biased interpretation.

These guys pitched the right product to wrong investors as rightly said by peyush and anupam . Aman got out as he can't help with D2C, Vinneta couldn't afford Valuation, Namita dosen't understand business other than healthcare, Inspite of he saying that the reason for not getting the order is certification she again asked why u don't have orders is pathetic. I do not understand that how pitchers while telling that their product has very low carbon emissions do not talk about Indian Government's target of net zero emissions and Global target of 2050 where carbon is the major contributor. Government and ministers like Nitin Gadkari will be thrilled by such companies and they are sitting on a gold mine if they are able to implement their plans well. Sharks will then realise the real worth and how everything is not just about revenue but also what value proposition a startup holds for the future.

Brutal truth is most muncipal corporation wants Roads which must break within 6 months. They will never pass such high quality product. They want tenders for reinstallation which is high income source for them.

All great love the product but he should have also gave a brief comparative demo against conventional bitumen roads as well.

The problem with this product is high heat & sudden lowering of temperature will crack the concrete and plastic bound and this product will be disastrous. I'd they solved this problem before.. this product is billion dollar thing
